It HAS in the past!!! We breed plenty. We don't NEED extra (artificial) population growth. Overpopulation is ONE of the BIGGEST future problems the Globe faces. You can't be gung-ho for attacking climate change and IGNORE overpopulation and be a good environmentalist OR Liberal IMO.
Agreed

Don't be sorry because he is correct. Until we can balance our budget and start paying down the deficit we cannot allow additional persons in that need monies to live here.

They don't get "monies" from the government. Illegal immigrants take ****** jobs and pay into medicare and social security but never take any medicare or social security benefits.

Ask Iowa dairy farmers if they would survive without illegal immigrant labor.

And when they break an arm or need emergency surgery who pays? When they crash a car and don’t have insurance who pays? When their kids go to schools who pays? Hiring illegals is actually illegal. Nothing good comes from illegal immigrants. Legal immigrants is a different matter.

Hiring illegal immigrants is illegal but it's also a necessary survival technique for farms and restaurants and hotels and numerous other types of businesses.

Ignoring that reality makes it impossible to solve anything.

Curious what our Leftists posters would do about it if they were Potus.

Thoughts?
It’s a non-story. Who gives a ****? If I were POTUS, I’d do nothing. They can apply for asylum. The ones that credibly need asylum get in, the rest are denied.

This is nothing more than Trump trying to distract his base from the facts that the tax cut isn’t very popular and that the GOP tried to take away the ACA.
So when 14k march in how would you stop them? The tax cut is indeed very popular, hence the hihger aproval ratings and ACA needs to be repealed and replaced.
March in? They walk to the border. There are border patrol agents at the port of entry. They won't be allowed in. Again, it's a non-story that Trump is using as a distraction.

The tax cut is unpopular, it's why Trump is lying about a new middle class tax cut for before the election.

It's a complete lie though. Congress won't be in session to pass any laws between now and the election.

Once again, Trump is a liar.

Also, the ACA is incredibly popular and should not be repealed. The GOP knows it, which is why a bunch of congressional candidates are promising to protect pre-existing condition coverage.

Which is also a lie.

In general, the GOP sucks.
#1) They marched past the fence in Mexico if they attempt to overrun what would you do?

#2) It is not unpopular. Look at the job growth and CAPEX spend.

#3) He is lying? How?

#4) ACA is not popular. Maybe in CA.

#5) In your opinion as you're a Leftist.

1) There is no fence on the southern Mexico boarder. Anyone can walk from Guatemala to Mexico.

2) "The theory behind the tax cut was that it would unleash a huge wave of business investment, financed by massive capital inflows. And there's still no sign that this is happening: business investment as a share of GDP"

"To fulfill the promises of the tax cutters, this number would have to surge by several percent of GDP. In fact, it's no higher than it was in the middle Obama or late Bush years. The tax cut isn't delivering the promised goods "

3) He is saying they will pass a middle class tax cut prior to the election. It's literally impossible to do that because congress isn't in session.

4) It's more popular that Trump. Look at the polling. 54% are in favor of it now.

5) Yes, but also backed by the actions of the ****** GOP.
Anyway, we're off topic.

The caravan story is a distraction. Nothing more.

The tax cut is in no way popular.

WASHINGTON – Obamacare is more popular with American voters than the Republican-enacted tax cuts, according to a new Fox News Poll.

Slightly more than half of voters – 51 percent – had a favorable opinion of the 2010 Affordable Care Act, better known as Obamacare.

In contrast, only 40 percent of voters had a favorable view of the 2017 tax cuts championed by congressional Republicans and President Donald Trump, according to the Aug. 19-21 poll of more than 1,000 registered voters. The poll has a margin of error of 3 percentage points.

Democrats have made health care a big issue in the upcoming congressional midterm elections, charging that Trump and the GOP-controlled Congress have worked to undermine gains made by Obamacare in the affordability and quality of health care coverage.

Republicans, meanwhile, are campaigning on their tax cuts, which they say have spurred economic development and created jobs.

That's from Fox News

Wait, so you're for a higher minimum wage but at the same time you feel that many businesses couldn't survive if they had to pay higher wages? Please explain this inconsistency.

Illegal immigrant workers on dairy farms still make way more than minimum wage.

From Ryan Lizza's piece on Devin Nunes' family's Iowa dairy farm:

The farmer explained that all the dairies require their workers to provide evidence of their legal status and pay the required state and federal taxes. But it’s an open secret that the system is built on easily obtained fraudulent documents. “I just look at the document—Hey, this looks like a good driver’s license, permanent resident card, whatever the case is—and that’s what you go with,” the farmer said. A second northwest-Iowa dairy farmer who knows the Nunes family told me, “They show you a Social Security card, we take out Social Security taxes. Where’d they get the card? I have no idea.” I asked what the chances are that a farm the size of NuStar uses only fully legal dairy workers. “It’s next to impossible,” the first dairy farmer said. “There’s no dang way.” This was speculation, but here is the logic that informed it: Most workers start at fourteen or fifteen dollars an hour, the first farmer said. If dairies had to use legal labor, they would likely have to raise that to eighteen or twenty dollars, and many dairies wouldn’t survive. “People are going to go broke,” the farmer said. The story was similar in the poultry, meatpacking, and other agricultural industries in the area.
