I'm with ozomatli regarding his point to remain optimistic and enjoy what we have. That being said, I echo everyone's thoughts that more communication and period updates are necessary.

Don't expect the baseball database anytime soon. The hockey database for 2017-18 has yet to show up and we're a month into the 2018-19 season.

6 1/2 months after the end of the season and no-one is expecting it to show up anytime soon.

I'll play open leagues again when I see the 2018 players available to draft.

I would venture to guess that keeping the player databases up to speed for the most highly utilized sports would be a priority.

No idea if there are more Hockey that Baseball but I would guess there is not. They are giving away Free Hockey teams so that tells me there may not be enough customers to keep it going.

I ALSO miss Live. Have tried different browsers and read the FAQs, but still cannot get it to work..probably my fault but something that used to work should be simple to get working again.

Someone posted that they are about a month away, the updates on the other sports will be done within the next week or two.

Edit: it was thejuice6, he had asked admin about the new players cuz he wanted to get his tourney underway...

The LIVE function is shut down. No idea if they have plans to resurrect it anytime soon. Inside the theme wizard it says it is no longer in use...

Any improvements to the site are definitely welcome, but I personally would prefer to have the new players over improvements. I've been a mostly happy baseball customer already without the improvements, but a progressive I've been in for 14 years that caught up to the current season a few years ago is still waiting on the new players to get started with the new season.

I understand the current ownership/management is understaffed and making due with fewer resources and I can be patient and wait. My main concern is about the future of the site. This site has been one of my favorite hobbies for 15 years and I'd hate to have a declining customer base due to slow responses/updates and lack of support threaten the future of WhatIf.

College basketball seasons were just released which is probably my least favorite game on this site.

Still no 2017-18 NBA or NHL seasons. Baseball game of the week hasn't been updated since August 2017. 2018 Baseball players are MIA and we're starting in on post season hardware!!
