Well, I was referring to The Bambino, after all....
Calhoop, I am assuming, am I correct? that we may not iterate, like that word? different versions of the same player's season on different teams. (I mean our same player, same year, different team, or partial vs. combined, may not be distributed on our teams.)
The rules state that you must use different player years for each of your 3 teams. Therefore, in the case of Greg Maddux who you own:
strategy A - 1994, 1995, 2008 any version (Padres full or partial or Dodgers full or partial) would be legal
strategy B - 1994, 2008 Padres (full or partial), 2008 Dodgers (full or partial) would be illegal
strategy C - 1994, 2008 Padres full, 2008 Padres partial would be illegal
That being said, in the case of Greg Maddux and Greg Maddux only, if you would like to petition the league to use either of the specific strategies B or C we could put that to a vote. If passed by the league our offenses would be likely to
obliterate (like that play on words?) 2 of the 3 versions.
