I literally made a poll on this and it was like 14-86, but I honestly dont see the cons of it... Good to have one buddy on here
I don't know why this randomly popped in my head today. But is it possible that WifS blocks the potentials of every team from being seen, for the purpose to eliminate tanking?

Or maybe not so much tanking, but future planning based off opponents? Ex.... if i'm in conference with a bunch of coaches, and I can see their potentials, if I wanted to, I could kinda see in to the future and decide.... "ok, team A, B, AND C looks like they had rough recruiting seasons in 104, so I'm going to stock my roster for a deep run in season 107"

I know that you can somewhat see these things now if you have the eye for it. But it would be much easier to do this by looking at the colors. It's a similar process that NBA front offices were using in the East (before LeBron left), using the mentality of "ok LeBron has X good years left approximately. We're not gonna win now, so let's stockpile draft picks for season Y, and when he's old and done, we'll be prepared to make a run"

You don't get better prestige by tanking.

Mountain West for example.

CSU didn't look at Nevada's potential 3 years ago and say, oh wow, they're gonna be good. Lets just give up. No way we can compete. Lets intentionally be bad for a while so we can attract better players. Cause that's how this works....
'

Or did they????

Not intentionally be bad, come on now. But what about something like deciding to change your class structure? Maybe put 6 guy's in a class when the rest of your conference is down? Something like that.

i realize you can do that now, based off of looking at the opposing teams class structure currently. But just because an opponent has 6 freshman doesn't necessarily make it smart to set up your 6 man class for the following season. Because what if they have a 3 man class of freshmen that are all studs based off potential? Or all duds based off potential. I could see a coach trying to take advantage of a situation like that.

I'm just throwing ideas out there. Possibilities.

You have to do it based on your liking for your structure.

They sure do. I used those logistics to understand where the Nba is and predict statuses and I was only wrong on Lebron going to the team with tax cheating claims.

All you have to do is look at the rosters ratings growth at the end of the season to have a good idea of potentials.

To me its meaningless, but you can do that if that's your thing.

Agreed. You can even base it off of your team's growth at any point of the season somewhat. Say 8 games in, you've got some 7+ point areas, 3+ point areas, 1 point, or 0 growth on your own players. Compare that to players on other teams.

But again, this was just conversation piece
