Realistically, not reopening the government would impact your life. It’s a big hit to the economy, planes wouldn’t be inspected, food wouldn’t be inspected, etc.. It’s good that it’s being reopened.

I don’t like McConnell. I think he’s a horrible, craven, cynical politician and we’d all be better off if he retired. But he’s powerful and smart and effective for the GOP.
