dlchow: Your club is good to go.

Well, I probably had a better draw for a $70 mil. cap than $90 mil. Judging from the early posts, it seems everyone is pushing $90 mil. Looks like I'm headed to the Junior League.

1. * P Hilton Smith Hall of Fame [see below] https://www.baseball-reference.com/register/player.fcgi?id=smith-001hil
I went with the Prairie View guys mention below, so: *Hilton Smith, Cecil Cooper, Steve Henderson, Charles Hudson
2. Reds @ Phillies, July 2, 1959, second game of doubleheader
Don Newcombe, Humberto Robinson, Vada Pinson, Joe Koppe
3. Giants @ Cardinals, July 17, 1973
Willie McCovey, Bobby Bonds, Ted Sizemore, Bernie Carbo
4. 1951 Washington Senators batting orders [any four players who started a game for the Senators, including starting pitchers]
Bob Porterfield, Eddie Yost, Gene Verble, Sherry Robertson (A truly unremarkable team. 62 wins was about right.)
5. * 1B Guy Sturdy 1927-28
I opted for the 1928 season so that I could get some useable IP: *Guy Sturdy, Sam Gray, Wally Schang, Beauty McGowan
6. Astros @ Rockies, May 31, 2012
Brandon Lyon, Wesley Wright, Wilin Rosario, Eric Young
So, you've been assigned two non-sim players; pick 200k players to fill both roster spots, and I will choose a 200k replacement for each.

Hilton Smith's replacement will be a pretty useful pitcher: I am looking at the list of eligible pitchers from AAA, and the closest I can find for outstanding walk-to-strikeout ratio and a good hitter is 1920 Walter Johnson. But there is the question of his teammates, since you can only have a max of three non-sim players. Solution: he did attend Prairie View A & M college at some point [or maybe just got an honorary degree], so you can take the three other MLB players who attended that school. It's not a bad list: https://www.baseball-reference.com/schools/index.cgi?key_school=c7f564e9

Since the pitching options were so poor, my 25th player is Hippo Vaughn, 1918 version.
Ballpark is Busch Stadium,
Payroll = $83,264,020

3dayrotation:

1914 Chicago White Sox Schedule - lists all pitchers who had a decision for or against the Sox - you can take any four listed- Walter Johnson, Dutch Leonard, Ernie Shore, Bill Doak

Bill Doak pitched for the Cardinals all year in 1914, and that was eighty years before interleague play, so you need to come up with a different fourth pitcher who actually had a decision against the White Sox. The other three did. For reference, the page can be found at:
https://www.baseball-reference.com/teams/CHW/1914-schedule-scores.shtml

The rest of your roster checks out, so just post again with the new pitcher, and any other changes if you want to work on the payroll number.
and that is why i should have waited till i had my glasses... dubuc should not be confused with doak

Okay, think I've got it figured out. Also, I am absolutely certain I have mis-drafted this team. I feel like this can't possibly be the best $90MM lineup I could've come up with...

Tigers @ Indians, July 1, 1975: Dave "Nuke" LaRoche; Bill "Suds" Sudakis; Bill "Don't Ask What He's Doing With His" Freehan; Gene "Stick" Michael
