In the case of Hearn, he played for two teams in 1950 - the Giants and the Cardinals. He only played 9 innings for the Cardinals and the rest were with the Giants. Given his numbers with the Giants, he's definitely going to be on my roster. If you had him on your roster, you would be using the same exact innings as I'm using with the addition of the 9 innings he played with the Cardinals. Not an exact clone but pretty darn close...
EDIT: Even if you wanted to go the route of me just using the Giants version (which I'm doing anyway) and you just using the Cardinals version, it wouldn't work. The separate Cardinals version isn't even available for use since it was only 9 innings. Therefore, you would pretty much be using the same exact player that's on my roster...
Not my division draft, but my $0.02 ...
We are definitely going to have teams using the exact same season of the same player because of overlapping seasons. So I'm not sure I get the logic that you can't have two teams using "the same exact player that's on my roster" as it's definitely going to be happening already in every league.
Thank you for posting this as I hadn't really thought about it from this perspective. With that regard and in cases such as this, I'll change my ruling and allow Hearn to be drafted. As Red said, it's probably happening in other spots as well and I do not have the time to go through all 288 rosters to double check things like this.
