2020 SLB Players and Teams Will be Wild Topic

I disagree. Preventing HRs doesn't matter that much in SLB anymore. Paying to do it is often a waste of money.

Greinke no longer has a 9,999 HR/9+

Season ruined.

Mitch Moreland gets traded.

so we’ll have a version of him with a .328/.430/.746 line for a 204 OPS+.

Probably a 7 or 8 HR/100AB#

My concern is so few RP will reach 25 ip. For those of us in progressives the RP pool might be way too thin

I am guessing anyone who gets to 9.2 IP will be eligible. That is the equivalent of 25ip over a 162 game season.

They have to actually accrue 25 IP in real life to be sim eligible. They don't prorate the eligibility. See 1891 Jim Hughey for example. If they prorated his 15 IP, he'd have 67.2 in the sim.

Yes...see every non-162-game season in history: 1995, 1994, 1981, 1972, every pre-1961 season...the 25IP has always been a hard floor, never pro-rated.

They could, of course, change that policy for 2020. But they have not done that for any other season.

I understand that but I think they will make that move for this season. If they dont it further kills the game this year as its hard to build a 2020 season league and it is hard to have a current progressive. Every other shortened season was still able to play over 100 games.

I hope they keep the 25 IP min rule, you would have a bunch of ridiculous cookies if guys with 10 real life innings or 20 ABs were sim eligible. Would make progressives a bit tricky to handle and require creativity from the commissioners and owners...kinda like the real 2020 season.

And suddenly a guy to keep an eye on is Kenta Maeda and his 0.71 WHIP

Bobby Dolbec, Boston, first 10 mlb games, 6 HR!

Keuchel's on the IL. If he doesn't pitch another RS inning, and with WSox certain for playoffs they'll be cautious, his IP/162 will be 144 with tasty overall numbers.

Can Devin Williams keep it up for 8 more innings? 17ip, 35k, 4h, 1hr, 0.59whip, .070oav !!!
9/11/2020 10:16 AM
Corbin Burnes .144 OAV, 0.2 HR/9, 5 IP/G
9/11/2020 2:30 PM
Devin Williams needs just 2 more IP to get to 25. He's at 23ip, 6h (.078 OAV), 8bb, 47k.
