This the best DITR I’ve ever gotten-he’s a high-end reliever that gives me 100+ innings a year. But highly unlikely he could ever make the HOF.

That guy could definitely make the HOF, in my opinion. If you used him as a closer on a competitive team, he could easily save 40-50 games a year, and he's still only 24. The problem is, with a guy like him, maximizing his value means using him in long relief, so you can get 120+ innings from him every year. That means he's unlikely to rack up gawdy - if meaningless - save numbers, which is what HOF voting is based on too often. When I vote for HOF, I generally dismiss saves for that reason.

I have a reliever who is in the top 10 in career WHIP in my league, but he'll never make the HOF. He's good enough. The one season I used him as my primary closer, he saved 49 games. But, he also pitched about 90 innings. With 40 stam and 99 dur, he's capable of pitching 120-150 IP every year, so 90 IP is a waste of his talent.

Had a tryout camp guy pop DITR. Best one I've seen. Still marginal player but is on pace for a 25 hr 30 SB seaon. https://www.whatifsports.com/hbd/Pages/Popups/PlayerRatings.aspx?pid=9810820

After thinking about it again, I'm wondering if a 1b type could make it. I agree with tlowster that there is probably limits on each rating which would hurt. But what if DITR with near 100 makeup leads to a 1b w/90 power, high 70's/80' in all other hitting stats, maybe a switch hitter. High 50/60 range gives you GG potential at 1st. The makeup allows the player to have a longer career, so you could rack up counting stats such as HRs and hits, RBIs, etc.
