Well .. I picked up a C+ team (St. Edwards) in Phelan Heartland Conference. Looks like it will take a while to get competitive there.

Also got A+ Abilene Christian in Lone Star in Smith .. that one should be a bit easier (only 3 humans in that conference now).

Topdogg you guys in the GLV have been crushing it lately that's for sure. Must be kinda boring though to only have 5-6 decent in-conference games that aren't blowouts.

Also kinda funny to still be hearing crickets from our dear friend in the Lone Star.

I have 7 teams. I get pouded enough across the worlds Haha. I think if we had 1 more quality coach it would be great. I don't always prefer all 12 teams being full. I like a little variety. I don't even mind completely empty conferences to be honest (I don't love them but I don't hate them either). I play for the post season run mainly. That and chatter

But yes our CC is crickets too so I can't say much.

Welcome to Heartland. We have a good group of coaches there, it's a fun conference. JLKennedy does a conference preview every season that's pretty unique and hilarious.

I picked up Fontbonne in Tark, reserved a Div2 team in Iba (can't remember the team :D), and I applied for a couple D2 teams in both Smith and Phelan. I figure 4 teams is all I want to try for now. I may drop one of them after the first season and stick with 3 .. after i get back in the swing of recruiting.

I recommend you unreserve the D2 team in Iba. If you reserve you miss a free RS2 to get your rebuild underway. If you use the job change period you actually get to take over the team 3 days earlier, getting that crucial extra session.

peach - 2 F4, 2 title games, 2 rings, all same coach.

Glv - 8 F4s, 5 title games, 2 rings, 3 different coaches. And a chance to add in the next two days.

And I didn't even total up the CVAC (didn't want to, I'm trying to recruit a coach to join us!), they're probably higher than anyone in F4s. With thinair also kicking butt on the west coast. The playing field has been leveled!

Yea, 'dominance' depends on how you slice it I suppose. Measured by recent postseason success, the Peach doesn't stack up against the GLV (or probably the CVAC). We are pretty full, and our conference is geographically pretty limited (mainly GA and SC, with one FL school)....so there is a lot of cannibalization that goes on both in W/L and recruiting (resulting in more teams in the NT, but probably worse seeding that expected). I like it cause we are chatty bunch, and you only get 1-2 freebie games in the conference season.

That being said, I do think the Peach postseason results will start improving over the next 5-ish seasons, as myself and some of the other new coaches get our programs turned around.

However, if my ultimate goal was only to 'win NT championships', I certainly wouldn't pick the Peach (for reasons in the first paragraph).

I might have to give Iba a try. That one, Rupp, and Crum are the worlds I’ve never been in. I don’t really want more than 5 teams, but I might retire Smith in a season or three.

alright, i should have re-read that first :) but it does say he is basically new to WIS, which is kinda what i thought. HOWEVER he's played on this account previously, has a couple championships, etc - that is where i was thrown a bit - i didn't realize Adam was previously coaching HD.

i guess this has been answered, but that is what i was asking about. was that all done as a regular old HD coach?

i just thought they were saying 'hey there is some new guy doing product management for WIS' - but if hes an actual HD coach from his own personal life too, i feel like that is a pretty important part of the resume!! :) maybe i just missed it but that is what i'd like to hear a bit more about, if Adam doesn't mind sharing!

edit: also curious if Adam is greater cincinnati area or not - not really sure what direction sportshub is taking but that is where WIS folks used to be from and a lot of users are from the area. just a curiosity. i promise not to show up at your house!

Gillispie1, not gonna let me off the hook without an introduction in here, lol.

How's it going? Quick introduction for me I started playing HD in 2015 and found my home in the Peach Belt in IBA. Pretty much got comfortable there because I met players like teamvip and bedarded who were some of the top team in IBA at the time so I picked their brains and it seems I picked the game up fairly quickly. I won a couple D2 Ships and went to a couple more NT games in my fairly short tenure and during the process met more folks in the PB like pdxblazerfan, towlie, skinnycat, rupp, mobbish, and a few others that came and went. Life got busy and I left my Kennesaw State Owls on auto renew for about 5-6 seasons and ran the entire program into the ground and I came back about 6-7 season ago and tried my hand at rebuilding the mess I made. (Honestly... not as much fun....).

So yeah, I am a WhatIfSports guy at my core and jumping over to SportsHub/WhatIfSports from my previous role, is a bit of a passion project of a job. It wasn't really meant to be an omission from my introduction, but HD is one of about 8 different game modes and I wanted folks to know I am passionate about WhatIfSports, not just HD. All of the game modes are great but need a bit of love to help get them to the next level. My biggest fear in taking this role was losing the fun that I've had playing with my Kennesaw team over the last 4-5 years, because the varying levels of happiness and rage I have gotten from that fake basketball program is worth ever cent I've ever dumped into this game.

I am not sure if that is all the information you wanted to know.

PS. I am not a Cincinnati guy I grew up in the Great Plains/ Midwest and lived in Orange County until fairly recently.

Not that it's "bad", but it's super weird to see site staff posting casually in the HD forums now. It's great! But odd. I'm used to seeing seble pop in when we're throwing mud at each other. But it's pretty much been strictly business.

Adam posting in here just to chat with us is a good thing for the future in my opinion. He's actually watching what's going on around town
