College should be for the intellectually elite, period. We don't need that many academics. And you can learn to code on your own or go to trade school. The best authors, the most brilliant philosophers tended to be uninvolved with higher academia or brilliant despite (and not because of) their involvement. College is great. Keep it an accomplishment to get in. That way it will keep its value.

If you went to college it failed you.
if you did not go to college it shows.

You think you are compassionate, but really you just lack the courage to explore uncomfortable and unpopular truths.

It would be a boon for the economy to forgive student loan debts.

I do have compassion and the choices are so simple.
it is good to have compassion and a center and a heart and a proper set of values and priorities.

Conservatives just love setting up Sophie’s choices all the time.

FYI; Biden's plan is NOT to forgive all student debt.

That is correct as well good point and there is a public service component which I think is so great in many dimensions.

Can't argue with eliminating tax breaks for PACs and Religions. (Anthing and everything possible to eliminate PACs.) I''ve always said all the "loopholes" should be closed. That $ could be so much better spent than sending kids on four-year drinking binges. (Or will we pay for 5 or 6 years if it takes thst long?)
Will these handouts extend to trades too, or will a plumber or electtician need to pay for their own education, while a Libriarian gets their's paid for?
Is there a limit tp the amount of this "free" education, or can everybody go to Ivy League schools?

The more people that go to college the less it is worth. That is why grad is the new undergrad, in terms of market value and getting you a job. Soon enough PHD will be the new grad. Lefties don't understand economics or the law of supply and demand, but, gold help them, they do have big "fee fees" sensitive enough to power a small country.

All3 you do understand that free college is only for state run universities. There are only 2-3 in most states right now.
so Notre dame - no
indiana state university - yes

ivy league colleges are NOT state universities.

nevermind?

So you want the Federal government to fund free education through the state schools?

Unless all states have higher education systems of equivalent relative size and quality, that's an incredibly inequitable distribution of tax dollars.

Well don’t complain to me. If Georgia gets 2 dem governors it is going to happen with community service like the peace corps a part of it.
There are only a few such schools per state.
not everyone can get free tuition.
the rich still have to pay.
does not effect grad schools.

I guess you can be from out of state to attend.
