Very solid picks this late. I was debating between 19-20, 05-06 and 63-64. Getting '20 Ruth was the deciding factor.

The strategies in Rd7 is so much more complex than rounds 1-6. So many different factors to consider.

I wanted to go in two or three different directions with my pick but I decided that if I didn't get any decent deadball pitching, I wouldn't stand a chance in the "Division From Hell" with SCHWARZE, PEDROCERRANO and HARRELSON. Hopefully one of my preferred choices is still available at the end of Round Two.

I'll take 1929-30 (Group 2). I can't pass up those bats.

I probably should have my head examined for passing up those strong bats in Group 2, but I've decided to try something a little different. With Addie Joss, Ed Walsh & Cy Young starting 162 games, we're going to be tough to score against with '00 Pedro throwing 230+ innings in relief. (Also, I shouldn't have any problem finding decent hitters at 1B and OF).

This only affects Pedro and myself in this draft but at the end of this round (for me) and at the end of Round 4 (for Pedro), we have to make sure we list which combo's are picked first and which ones are picked second - since it determines how many players we can use off of each combo.
