The biggest difference between Dray and Ben is attitude. Dray has it, Ben does not. All the way back to the LSU thing, that was weird. I'm not sure you can coach that. For "our purposes" Ben would be better off on OKC or Sacramento putting up crazy stats and never having to worry about the playoffs or pressure.

1. Depending who is available at 15, I may be interested in trading down to the 20-24 range

2. Not for this draft, but for the next one, is it time to discuss allowing trading of individual picks, rather than just draft slots? I got the logic of not allowing that for the first couple, but not sure if that logic may have changed.
It’s a fair question to ask (#2). I’d probably be a no on it though. There hasn’t been much correlation between pick spot and performance so the current structure seems pretty balanced. My opinion would be that trading individual picks corrupts that balance because some people’s concepts of pick value don’t represent reality. I think the structure is doing some people a favor and the gap between owners would grow if we loosen the trade reigns.

this is pretty much how i feel about it...i have no plans to change the rule

because I'm !@#%!@#$ crazy

Besides, trading draft positions never happens in this league.

I think Gobert at 12 is defensible. I think with the addition of his new season he should go in the 16-22 range.

Also it's not always easy to find someone to trade down with.

I'm not thrilled about KG; would have rather traded down. Not really my "type" of player but I also have to recognize that what I've been doing hasn't been working all that well in this league, so trying to mix things up. Obviously there were a couple of really good SF options available but just didn't want to put myself behind the 8 ball in terms of getting good big men.

I had Harden last season and led all teams in lowest tov% ... so his turnovers aren't really that bad. They just look really high because he has the ball in his hands so much.

Also Gobert at 12 is not a reach. I have him at 14 on my board and was hoping he'd be there at 16 if Harden, Admiral, Barkley, Mailman, and Garnett were gone. Turns out the exact six I was looking to get at 16 were the ones taken prior to trading down.

It backfired once, so why not let it backfire again!!

i really thought you were gonna go with your guy barkley at 10

hoping i can duplicate your success with the turnovers... but im already dreaming up ways to sabotage it in the 2nd haha...some very appealing high tov options

i do think rudy has overtaken the top spot as far as lower usg options go in the 1st round...i just couldnt take him over some of the higher usg options in that range

David Robinson at 13 is quite a value

Me neither; thus trading down and missing completely!

He's who I would have taken had I not gotten any good trade offers. Probably should have done it.
