I don't think many people really believe that. I think (hope) most of them keep saying it because they know how much it bothers the sheit out of Dems/Libs.
I like to do that too, but not at the expense of saying something I know is clearly not true.

maybe the people who think you have a great sense of humor are doing the same thing? Just kidding , dude. I have seen evidence that you have a sense of humor. It just doesn't show much when talking about politics. I also think more people still believe that Trump won the election than you think. Hopefully I am wrong.

And even if Joe Biden supported defunding the police, the federal government doesn't control local police budgets. Obviously.

The police don't need to be defunded, but the funds they get have to be put to better use.

Someone sometime (long ago) decided every Country needed (for completion, you see) a metaphorical *******. Thus Florida became part of the Union. Many folks protested its inclusion (including some folks within the geographical bounds that is/was Florida) but to no avail.

How we ended up with Texas and Oklahoma are another matter indeed.
And subject fodder for a "rest of the story" post in the future.
