One of the things I have been thinking about during these drafts...
What if instead of 16 people drafting, we had only 15 people drafting. The 16th person would have to wait until the end of the draft to form his roster. Once the draft ends, he can create his roster using any players from any of the undrafted seasons (no maximum players per season, although the 500-inning rule would still be applicable). I wonder how competitive that team would be. Clearly, this roster wouldn't have many stud players on it, but it could put together a better and deeper bullpen and have better balance (probably no stiffs starting at any position). It's an interesting thought exercise.
I guess it's easy enough to form a roster from any of the drafts and see what the salary ended up being as a benchmark for comparison vs the other drafted teams.
