So, in the other Franchise Draft tournament, my Cubs are currently tied for first (93-65). There is a certain starting pitcher who has 4 starts against me, with a 2-1 record and a 2.31 ERA. It's not a player you would expect. His real life stats are pretty pedestrian (1.18 whip#, .246 oav#, 2.84 erc#). In fact, I honestly had never heard of this player before (which is saying something). ronthegenius knows who I am talking about.

Well, I am drafting this player and his teammates.

Yes I do.
But the real star of the 1943 Cubs, and the main reason I took them in the other franchise draft, is another player not many have heard of. He usually does well for me and is, in fact, leading that original Cubs franchise league in RBIs and MVP voting.

Yes.... I am obviously very happy to add '43 Bill Nicholson as well as 43 Phil Cavarretta to the roster, to start along with '64 Ron Santo and '64 Billy Williams.
