Great question.

no designation made on an OL or DEF means no bubble. But you hold the rights to all units of your selected year IF there are no pre-existing bubbles overlapping your year.

only the 2015-25 Ravens OL by nato6869 hold that protection now. Someone selecting years 2015-2025 as their year are blocked from using any the Ravens OLs in those years, but could select any of the other 31 units.

as a selection is made, I can state if a block is in place on a specific OL or DEF for the year selected. The individual players that are designated are blocked to other owners for their entire NFL career.

1940-80s is wide open. That will be my next pick after 12 owners are committed. Running game and DEF could be impactful vs singular year 2000-2025 offensive teams that can’t stack the roster like they normally could everywhere else in sim football. There are different ways to win. And far more satisfying.

We'll leave this open for a few more weeks. This concept is attempting to have complete football teams. Where formations, play style, and a smaller pool of players to fill up the roster dictate how you put together a competitive roster.

I was just thinking of the days with gencoimports. I called it the torture chamber with his running game and defense. Complete opposite of the copy cat compilers with extreme passing that you see now.

genco didn’t just plug in high ratings, he studied stamina, formations, salaries, and the other teams tendencies and playbook. It wasn’t a roster of names and an easy 10-12 win team on paper.

I guess I miss some of that even if it was to my detriment on the scoreboard. I respected it and wanted to beat his formula. I think I finally did at the tail end, but he was on the way out with over 100 championships doing it differently. People could not replicate it as it took effort, forethought, and often had moving pieces with each new team.
