Seeing Tortoise and Disappears tonight. Anyone seen either of them live before?

Disappears had too much reverb and repetition. Tortoise was really sick though. I really enjoyed them.

Seeing Electric Six in Ann Arbor tomorrow. Should be middling to fair.

My wife has been fingering herself to the new Frightened Rabbit all week. I listened to roughly 15 seconds from each song and concluded that it is a piece of ****. And I still don't get why Scottish dudes sing with an accent while English dudes don't.

It's a great question...the View, Glasvegas, Franz Ferdinand at times, Fratellis sound strangely English...somehow Snow Patrol buried their accents behind a steaming pile of ****. And Frightened Rabbit really kind of sucks.

New Titus Andronicus out...can't wait to listen to it. The Airing of Grievances was one of my favorite albums of '08.

Way more energy and cohesion than I expected. It was a good show.

I've never seen Yo Gabba Gabba, but apparently they released some album with songs by indie bands like the Shins, of Montreal, Chromeo, I'm From Barcelona, et al.

Kids songs.

Not sure if they're mimicking Matt Pryor leaving the Get Up Kids for the Terrible Twos to write children's songs, but it's weird hearing songs about washing your hands from the guys who do "Needy Girl".
