This pick escaped me whilst I was planning the day away at an inservice at school...I can only assume, shaybee, that Chico Ruiz and Joe Carter will be on your coaching staff. However, I must agree with an earlier assessment--the bad karma could be so catostrophic that karma itself could implode upon itself, creating a black hole that would wipe out karma all-together, thus propelling the J.D. *$%#ing Drew led Phils to the title...if anyone can do it, it's shaybee..
I guess this has become a karmic experiment, so we'll see. It certainly could have gone differently - I was hoping that Murcer would fall to me, but then I thought if I took him you'd think I had something out for you, and that's certainly not the case. Then there was the prospect of adding a high avg, solid obp guy from the Phils own org, but Jose's head would likely have imploded in the same way that the Drew karmic cloud is likely to end. Of course, I'd never even consider that idea, having been welcomed into the Rule V fold so warmly many versions ago, I wouldn't want things to turn against me...
