Bret Saberhagen
nice pickup
Thanks! I was holding my breath for a while wondering if he'd make it to me.

There's one other player I can't believe is still out there...but I want someone else to take him.

I'm so glad to see Eddie Mathews off the board. It was getting to the point where I'd almost have to take him.

For those needing help to be organized, make a simple Word document with a table. The table has 3 columns. First column lists all the teams. The second is for the year, the third for the player. Fill in year and player as you go. It is then easy to see which teams you have used and which years.
An alternative is to create an Excel spreadsheet with tears across the top and franchises down the side. Fill in where you pick players and put x's where you no longer can

I have two tables, one for the teams, one for the years. That enables me to see the years in consecutive order. at a glance I know what years I have left and what teams I have left. Then I can research individual teams and individual years to see who is available to me in future rounds.

I am glad Reuss and Farrell were selected. I wanted them on my team but I already have my Dodger and my Astro. This way I won't have buyer's remorse.

And Farrell was taken in the 6th round.

When searching for players on Page 1, it might be helpful to do a CNTL + F search (command + F on a Mac) for their last name. If they have been taken, there should be at least 2 results (one for the Alpha List and one for the Round by Round). If there's one result, then it likely means they are missing from one of the lists but have till been selected. I haven't found there to be many missing from one of the lists as we've moved through this draft, but this is just a general tip that I do before my picks.

However some of us do the vast majority of our picks by phone and hence solely rely on the alpha list.
