Good news - Roger Maris is going to be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

Before I depart I want to reward someone for following my lists by doing a Frankenstein top 20 ranked movie list and all of the lists of Monsters leading into Halloween that I will be doing will be done with him in mind.

I agree that the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame is somewhat ridiculous, but so are the baseball hall of fame and any others. There are always going to be people inducted that don't belong there (Harold Baines anyone?) and people who should be inducted but aren't.

I don’t know of anyone who has refused being inducted into the R and R hall or didn’t consider it an honor nor I am sure does anyone think it is perfect.

They get more then 550,000 visitors each year in Cleveland no less.
Somebody likes it.

I think that everyone knows the difference between objective vs subjective and that you have your 1/330 million opinion in this country.

Dolly Parton is in the HOF. At first she balked but later came around to being happy about it.
She felt like she did not deserve to be in it because she did not feel like she was rock and roll.
She felt honored but undeserving.

I never said that anyone should or should not.
I merely point out that it is extremely popular by the scores of millions because someone said it is irrelevant. It could be meaningless but those that think that are outnumbered.
When I discuss it I’m referring to a beloved institution.

Regarding love of rock and roll and considering the support for the hall by more then a Million people each year th Hall is highly relevant to a discussion of greatest rock artists ever in the public mind and that institution which is very popular. Using relevance and Trump he is extremely relevant to the discussion of who will be president in 2024.
And for that Pence is irrelevant.
