 Andru , as a unbiased observer , and i must say i respect your hockey knowledge over Muddy and some Canuck fans..seeing how Schneider has played and proven he is a legit number 1 ,and in my opinion better than Luongo ,mentally tougher than Luongo ..if this situation was in the Hawks house how would u feel seriously? .. in my opinion it is a monumental mistake to trade Schneider...Neely trade all over again and the Canucks will regret it more than the Neely trade...biggest mistake in their history..i know ur a hated Hawk fan but after reading your posts and fighting with you for years ..u are one of the posters i respect for their hockey knowledge

Muddy has full blown gone off and drank the committed Indians kool-aid. Dude is over their posting on that guys Facebook that Toews is elite after putting up 5 of his 24 points in a single game against the second to worst team in the west.

I was hoping the flyers could get Schneider a couple sessions ago. He's solid... And you could use the extra cap to bulk up elsewhere.

Even in my own thread the koolaid drinkers have bought into the Luongo hype,,,but one only needs to look at the numbers to see he is not the answer,has never been, and will never be,..but this city i live in is soo starved for a winner they cant see thru the clouds ..Schneids is our man ...he has the mental make up to lead this team ..he would not have melted down last year in Boston like Luongo did..unfortunately this city has a loser complex

Not better...different. Ovie has more natural ability than Toews, and if this was Tennis I'd take the Great 8 all day. But this is a team sport, and there are few team players who are the leader that Toews is.

As for Giroux, he's had one season of 76 points, the same career high (in points) as Toews, never scored over 25 in a season and hasn't won a thing, team or individual. So in saying you would take Giroux over Toews, you are in fact basing it on nothing more than opinion based on what you've seen, therefor making it a SUBJECTIVE decision, for which I can't fault you. HOWEVER, it would be slightly hypocritical to then criticize Hawks fans for doing the same in the Toews-Ovie (or Sedin, or Giroux, etc) argument.
Speaking of opinion.... How's frolik doing this season?

In my subjective opinion Giroux has more upside than Toews. On a more factual basis Ovie has 2 MVPs , which stands for'most valuable player'. How many does Toews have?
Fro is doing terrible offensively, although not for lack of chances. He's getting them, but not burying them, and I cant for the life of me figure out why. He's going to the tough areas, playing all 3 zones well and doing all the little things right. Weird how sometimes guys simply don't get rewarded.

As for the MVPs, by my count Ovie has 2 MVPs when it doesn't matter, and Toews has 1 when it matters most :-P

 NO ,I wasnt talking about you Styckman ...its just that i think Luoingo is soo overated and ive takin heat for that for years ..in my Opinion the Canucks would have won the cup already if Schneider was our starting goalie..everybody has their opinion...and i believe in the numbers ...its only my opinion and i believe as long as Luongo is our starter we will never win a cup,i believe the players like Corey more and he is a humble player,and the guys want to see him succeed ..Luongo is not the answer and i think the longer he is here the more the cancer spreads ..the sooner we get rid of him annd let Corey be the man the better..

REALIGNMENT PLAN

Several different realignment plans will be considered at the NHL Board of Governors meetings Monday and Tuesday in Pebble Beach, Calif. This four-division format, as reported by CBC last month, appears to be gaining steam. Teams would play division rivals five or six times and every other team in the league home and home. It would remain to be seen where Detroit and Columbus would be placed:
