I think they may have found a starting goalie....

And it's Tim Thomas....again!

Back to back on the road 1-0 shutouts.

First time in Bruins history since 1936 they've won back to back 1-0 games.

This early schedule was brutal travelwise, as it always seems to be, and they're coming through it with a 5-2-3 record thusfar. They've now won 2 5-4 games and 2 1-0 shutouts.

Improve that damn shootout record....and hold serve at home better this year than at times last year...

And they have a shot at the division.

Or the 8th spot again.....whatever.

I'm still not a fan of Tim Thomas...but back-to-back 1-0 shutouts on the road is impressive no matter who you are.

Taking points in all but two games of the first ten is a very good start to the year. Granted, some of those shutout losses should have been two pointers as outright wins, but overall, a strong showing so far.

The defense is a little bit better without Alberts on it, no?

Could Dallas have taken any more cheap shots last night?

Good to see them standing up for each other though.

First, Andrew Ference cleans Steve Ott's clock with a clean hit at center ice: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pDJY_PCehN0

then Marc Savard goes after Avery for a cheap shot while Shane Hnidy hammers Matt Niskanen: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0TxKx2OP8xA

What a fun game to watch. (Can't get the links to work for some reason).

6-3-3. Not a bad start. Hopefully they won't go on their typical December swoon.

Blake Freakin Wheeler!!

Wideman and Chara chip in....Ference hasn't had a minus game all year. Stuart put a Leaf into the B's bench on a hit.

This is great stuff early on!

Stuart needs more minutes.

Team play, everyone contributing. Very tough to play defense against a team when you cannot key on one player or a certain line. Defense is tightening up, clearing up rebounds much better and saving Thomas' butt once in a while rather than him always doing it for them. Power play and penalty killing are improving. Overall, better than expected.

The Bruins power play is only as good as their movement on it. They tend to stand around a lot and expect something to happen. Last night, even though the goals came in from the point, players were moving across the front of the net, causing more confusion.
