PACKERS: Datone Jones is latest DL bust drafted Topic

Wow. My respect for Favre went down a LOT with this report.

That's pathetic. Honestly. If the Packers' draft choice didn't depend on the Jets' performance I'd be actively rooting against them now.

ESPN has failed to comment on this story and it seems foxsports.com is taking a lot of shots at Favre.

I did hear Mortensen say to Leroy Butler that Glazer combined 2 stories....who knows.

ESPN Radio did mention the story yesterday, on Trico's show.

Eh? Who the heck knows. If it's two hunting buddys bull shittin'... who cares. If Favre faxed his playbook over....

Why is no one else running with this story? Barely a blip on anyone else's radar. I guess no one else has contact with Glazer's "secret source". I wish it would come out one way or another so it's over with instead of another week of the Princess Diaries.

Either way, just makes TT and Favre look that much worse. I'll just be glad when Favre retires in 10 years and this is all over with and I can actually watch a game without that sick feeling coming over me. There is some serious hatred going on. I hope TT or Favre don't have a dog...the dog's always seem to pay the ultimate price in Packer history.

Well, ESPN issued an internal memo directing its personnel not to report the story.

And Brett admitted at his press conference today that he did talk to Millen before Week 2, though he tried to minimize his contribution.

ESPN can't comment with Favre's dick in their mouth

I thought Peter King was primary on that? Apparently there is enough to go around.

Looks like a ******* match between "reliable sources". Gotta love how the sources are always unnamed. Why would anyone feel the need to protect Favre now? If he is the self abosrbed ***** he is proclaimed to be, stand up on the podium and throw him under the bus. There has to be at least one person with the junk to say "this is what Favre told me".

QB Aaron Rodgers has been signed to a five-year extension through 2014.. no numbers made public yet.
10/31/2008 3:10 PM
Deal is reportedly worth $65M over six years, with $20M guaranteed.. comparable to recent deals given to Romo (who got $30M guaranteed) and Garrard.

2007 first round choice Justin Harrell was activated from the PUP list yesterday.. to make room on the roster, declining DE Kabeer Gbaja-Biamila was released. "KGB" is the Packers' all-time sack leader but has not fully recovered from knee surgery earlier this year and had just 1/2 sack this season.

I'm sure the Lions need another washed-up injury risk to go with Culpepper.
11/2/2008 10:33 AM
I'm pretty sure the thread title should be geared more to the joy of Harrell's return....
11/2/2008 1:56 PM
I actually heard Harrell's name once during the broadcast, which is more mentions than KGB got in a few games this season, but it didn't seem to help very much as the horrible tackling continued and Chris Johnson ran wild when the Titans needed to gain yardage. In a game full of missed opportunities, the Packers lose 19-16 in overtime.

I'd like to think the outcome would have been different if the coin had landed "heads" but I'm not entirely convinced.
