The D hasn't been good.  It's improved since Campbell returned, but they need to start winning board battles again.

Of course they don't.  They lost a bunch of players, are being hammered by SCH (Stanley Cup Hangover), have played more games than anyone else already and they had an extra two months of of games this past spring.  I didn't expect a Cup repeat, but this doesn't shock me.  I like the fact the circus trip is getting started right now.  They can maybe focus a bit harder and get some team chemistry flowing.  The team last year was incredibly close and they need to recapture that.  Going on the road for two weeks is a good start to that, I hope. 

That said, I love our future.

The reports of Chicago`s impending death are greatly exaggerated.  They may not rip 4 in a row like 80`s Isles or 70`s Habs, but this team is in great shape relative to the rest of the league.

The fact that this thread is 21 friggin pages long is more a testament to the spare time of WIS users** than of any trouble with the Blackhawks.

**Insomnia sufferers--don`t forget the 27 fascinating pages debating the ``cap issues``  faced by the Hawks.

I'm loving these replacements for the departed demi-gods (said with sarcasm) so far.  Pisani and Potulny are solid and probably better than our 4th liners last season.  Skille has been flying and should slot nicely in Versteeg's spot.  I don't think Beach will make the club, but a year of seasoning in Rockford will do him good.  Stalberg hopefully with gel with the rest of the guys.  We have plenty of depth all around the forward spots too.  As for Turco....he's gonna make us all forget about Niemi with his play.  His puck-handling is incredible and he set up a big goal last night with it.  Crawford will be much better than Huet too.

I'm hoping I get a few more chumps.....err, I mean people who want to bet me they'll miss the playoffs.  My life revolves around sucker bets!!

You really have nothing, being a Canucks fan it's probably going to stay that way.

juskay does have a tendency to trash on the hawks harder than they deserve, however, i must back him up.

Although we are a longgggggggggggg way from the end of the season, the hawks are in 7th (were he predicted them to end up), and the canuks have 3 more points in 3 less games. He does not have nothing behind him.

I'll be worried when they get 10+ points out of a playoff spot.

Great road win to kick off the circus trip.  That was sorely needed and was nice to see.  Toews was on a mission and it showed. 

Tomorrow night's game will tell the tale of how much they took from the win.

No...The Stanley Cup Champs beat up on the lowly Canucks.

As much as the beating in Calgary sucked, it was made up for BIGTIME with yet another beatdown of Red Light Roberta last night.  How the hell did that stiff ever get a contract like that?  As long as he's there, Vancouver will never win jack, and that's fine with me.  BTW, the Hawks responded physically as well as with effort all over.  That was nice to see.  Wednesday should be interesting.
