Should have known I'd regret filling up my outfield.

Let's go with 1915 Eddie Collins, White Sox

I haven't been tracking salaries, but I believe Erstad is still the most expensive position player taken thus far. 1965 Willie Mays was close at $9.5M. At a glance, I don't see any other hitters in the same zip code.

Plenty of expensive pitchers, though. Greinke, Perry, Luque, Arrieta, McNally, Cooper, Kershaw, Lemon, and Spahn are all over $10M...

Only two owners have more than one player in the $10M club: Ribbentrop (Perry, Luque, Lemon) and Ronthegenius (Arrieta and Spahn).
Well, in light of the above, this is insane, but let’s finish the round with

1908 Ed Walsh

Interestingly, the random starting team for Round 10 is...

1910 Chicago White Sox

https://www.baseball-reference.com/teams/CHW/1910.shtml
2/3/2024 9:09 PM
Combined salary for Ribbentrop's Big 3 SP: $35,570,788 for 1,021 IPs

Combined salary for Ronthegenius' Big 3 SP: $42,010,570 for 1,004 IPs

Guess we know who the two best pitching staffs will be!

Jackie Jensen set off quite a string of fireworks.

The last four picks of Round 9:

Ted Williams --> Jimmie Foxx --> Eddie Collins --> Ed Walsh

Hmmm, I wasn’t expecting to head right back to Ed Walsh’ Whitw Sox.

Let’s go with 1914 Dutch Zwilling of the Chicago Whales Federal League team
