nope. 0-3-1 in January.

Toews looked tired out there - still hustled though. Q is gonna kill the core with the amount of toi he's giving them... not sure how he will replace sharpies minutes.

sharp out 3-4 weeks. Wrist.

Should be no problem though, the sharp injury.... hawks have toews and his leadership.

And he is only one of "The Core"........the best "Core" in the NHL

not sure but it looked like he took a shot from Keith off the head, then went head first into the goal post.

Kane looks disinterested against the wings so far. His trade value was higher in the offseason when he could have fetched a similar deal as carter or richie. Not so sure teams are as high on him now (one dimentional player and with that a low shot % this season). Not saying he doesnt have value.... just not as much as before the season. Jmo.

We did add a top 6 forward in Brunette, who should thrive playing with those other 5 guys.  We didn't need a top 4 d-man, just some depth.
If 37 year old Andrew Brunette is your idea of top 6 - you have proved my point that the hawks have a long way to go before becoming competitive again for a cup.

He's 3rd line material... at best.
yep.

Ha ha - I'd rather have Talbot at $1.8 mil or Simmonds at $1.75 mil than frolik at $2.3 mil.... 9 points in 28 games for the hawks last season - that's on pace to score <25 points in 80 games.

Kopecky was PAID by a team that needed to reach the cap floor - which players and owners all knew would happen.  I think that's a bad comparison.  I could make the argument that Brunette is a better player than Frolik and he only got $2 mil - isn't brunette playing in the top 6 - frolik w/ the bottom 6?

Hawks are F'd on Defense.  Bottom 3-4 players are a joke and with the increased PIMs Crawford will be screwed in net.  I actually feel bad for the 2nd year goalie.

You guys still lack depth too.... What happens when a Dman is out for a few games, few weeks..... how about a player like Hossa or Kane? There is not enough fire power to step it up elsewhere IMO.

hawks are an 8-12 seeded team.
i think hawks end up in 7th.... behind la, sj, van, nash, stl, and det. I cant see colorado, dallas, etc making a run strong enough to push the hawks into my preseason prediction range :(

Frolik is a steal at that cap # in relation to what other and lesser free agents have gotten this off-season.

I can't wait to collect that $100 moy is gonna owe me.  I told a couple of my Hawks pals about the bet and they openly laughed out loud at it.  Every national hockey scribe is amazed at how well the Hawks have done this off-season and are predicting the to finish in the top 3 in the West.  I should have gone for more.
Are they the same hawks fans that said the hawks will be top 3 last season? You should find smarter people to validate your opinions.

I was right about the hawks finishing 6-10 last season.... I was right about the hawks dealing Campbell..... I was right about them shipping off Brouwer for nothing in return..... I'm gonna be right about the hawks being an 8-12 team this season. They are flat out worse this season than last.

Can't wait to say I told you so ;)
Are those friends still openly laughing now that their team is in 5th and falling as their schedule gets more challenging?

They haven't lost since this observation, keep up the hating, it seems every time you relegate the Blackhawks to the fringe of playoff eligibility they put together a W streak.
