i was thinking of picking up a new team anyways, so this seems about a good a way as any on picking a world.

may I ask what the reason was someone declined Hot Stove? I really don't understand why. I'm not sure your group of guys will get an opportunity to join a better world than this one.

Either way the invite is open to any of you as you are all solid owners, just sitemail myself or hatt11 if you are interested and we can get you a franchise and a password.

If the person who declines wants to make himself know or his reasons, he will. I didn't ask. No one HAS to join a world that qualifies. I wasn't going to join a world with certain owners.

that's a rather modest request. convince 12 people to fill spots in a world, that's $300 for the site right there.

plus there's all sorts of trickle down effect...say the league continues for an extra 4 seasons in the next calendar year. now let's say if the league were not in existence, half of the owners would drop the team, half of them would replace it (for a discount, of course). that's 16 * 4 * 25 = $1600/year + discounts that they don't have to give out.

i know the math is fuzzy, but save 3 or 4 worlds and you're looking at $5-10K of additional annual profits (i assume there's no expense to run a world) for the site, plus more satisfied customers.

Sure there is. I just want the person to admit it. If that was a situation for me, I'd say "I don't want to play with threester" or something like that.

i really don't see why people always need an explanation.

i'm sure it's nothing personal. personally, i might get amped up about adding another team and then look at the league roster and think "this is OK, but i really don't care enough to spend the extra time and cash on this team"

Fair enough, I don't need a reason, but I have a new question! Why do all 8 owners have to agree? Why can't 7 owners join and then the 1 owner start the next list for the next world?

For example, IF it were Hot Stove, you'd already have a list of whoever doesn't want to be in hot stove and Hatt11. Two owners already to get the next list going.

I would throw my name on the list if I didn't just join ballparkfranks to help them fill up. I'm maxed out with my 4 teams.

My reasoning is if it's a stupid reason, why would we want to be in a league with the guy? This'll be the first person to leave for no reason, which defeats the purpose.
