How many at bats define "small sample size'?    How many at bats does it take for you to say "maybe this guy really isnt that good",  give up on a player, or demote him?

I didn't find juggalosteve very funny.   He appeared, to me, to be an obvious alias.

Everyone has their own idea on SSS.   I generally stick with my initial line-up for about 40 games.  If a player isn't cutting it, he'll likely go to the bench and become a platoon guy.  That's assuming I know he's a big league player.  If he was borderline, in my mind, to start with, I'll just send him to AAA after about 100 AB.  Of course, all that assumes I have a suitable replacement.  If I don't, I might just let him play all season.  Like this guy:   http://www.whatifsports.com/HBD/Pages/Popups/PlayerProfile.aspx?pid=1588476
He's up and down.  But I believe he's a legit BL player so he's getting his 500 AB.
