Me, too.  They're crying out for a seasoned floor general, though.  It'll be interesting to see who's left to fall to me...

Yeah, 3 guys will surely take PGs before you pick again.. I can think of alot of good points for that team still on the board.

I'm not surprised we've hit another lull, since ash frequently works late at night and so is less available in the early part of the day.

Still, gentlemen...send proxies!  Lots of us are online most of the day and can help out.

Apologies. My internet went down last night (caused me to miss 2 cycles of games.  And I got some losses because I was resting guys against a weak opponent in the am only to play a strong opponent in the pm.  Ouch).  I don't have a smart phone, either.  I do  have a Matrix, though.

Great defender: Can defend *the* guy in a finals series and make us all question *the* guy's greatness in the clutch.
Flourished in a fast paced system.
Is able to hit the outside jumper & the three.
Showed that even later in his career, when he couldn't dominate by sheer athleticism, that he still brought a lot to the table and now has a ring.  People point at Chandler as the reason Dallas was able to win... I don't disagree... but I also point to the Matrix, as he was key in that series.

The only reason I am considering this guy is because I am putting Big Bill in charge of him off the court. As for on the court i loved watching this little guy thrive in a big mans game. I am going to take Allen Iverson

Great pick for your team cuz u need offense but you must pick the right guard to play along side him.

I can't believe this great player is still on the board. He was the one I said was a 25-30 ppg scorer if he was a #1 option if he didn't play with 2 other Hall of Famers which is a tribute to him. He was a selfless great team player who showed he could play with the best PG ever and possibly the greatest C ever to help his team win championships even if it hurt his statistics. He was definately the greatest I guess you would call him 3rd player ever. He was one of the greatest open court finishers ever, possibly the greatest post player at SF ever, great slasher/finisher so don't double off him or it's dunk city, great defensive player, could hit the open shot, and was also an excellent passer. He would've avg'ed more boards per game also if he wasn't defending SG's most of his career due to Magic's inability to defend most G's. He will be awesome in the open court with Kidd and proved he was a great half court player that could play with a great C like Jabbar!

This SF gives this team great length defensively. Kidd is as quick as any PG, Dream is as quick as any PF, and Ewing is quicker than most of the C's in this draft, and my pick James Worthy is as quick as any SF in this draft which makes this team possibly the best defensive team so far along with having great offensive players and a precision passing PG to get them the ball who makes great decisions and is a great leader!

yeah I knew you were talking about Worthy earlier. Was expecting you to draft him if he fell to you.

I'm sure garyman wanted him but I didn't take him so he couldn't have him. I would've taken him in the 3rd if Kidd wasn't available. I guess it worked out pretty good for me. I wish Pierce or T-mac we're still available for my next pick but it's all good. They are both underrated superstars, especially T-Mac who gets alot of unnecessary trash talk. Pierce and Worthy should've went higher. They are great team players and as tough as they come!

Being a huge Carolina fan "Big Game" was one of my alltime favorites. Loved him at UNC and always loved him in the NBA. He was a great fit for those showtime teams.

I'm a huge Worthy fan... but I disagree strongly with your assessment of his defense and your team being the best defensive team so far.
8/17/2011 6:43 PM
I can't really say that I watched worthy that much but I never heard anyone call him a defensive stopper.
