And as usual, swamp is completely distorting the matter. Akin didn't say orgasm slightly increases the chances of pregnancy. He said pregnancy from rape is "really rare."

I am not defending his comment. It was stupid and we all agree.

It just wasnt out of the blue. There was some basis for what he said. He didnt just invent an idea out of the blue.

He was in over his head and screwed up.

Should this be the defining point of who wins an election?

Of course he didn't invent an idea out of the blue....he was repeating anti-abortion propaganda.  The only "basis" for what he said comes from that propaganda.  Because only a blithering idiot would make the leap from the idea that an orgasm might slightly increase the chance of pregnancy to rape pregnancy being "really rare".  And it would take an even bigger idiot to defend him.

Romney and Ryan are going to get trashed in November by Obama as badly as the Baseball Furies got trashed by The Warriors.

Actually the numbers do not support this.

Remember Romney went through a brutal primary. Obama should be up by double digits right now, and he is either tied or losing by a small margin.

And there is not reason to believe that unemployment or gas prices will go down before November.

How is an incumbent going to stand up before America and say "We know everything sucks and we have no plan to fix it, but the other guy will make things worse.
Numbers are for sucks.  The fact remains these two idiots are going to get hammered in November.

The only way Obama wins is if he successfully diverts the discussion away from his record and his lack of a plan.  Expect Obama's campaign to continue to throw out red herrings but avoid discussing his record at all costs.

The Republicans have made obstructionism their primary goal for the last four years. We have no idea if Obama's plans would work...they haven't tried them. With a  split government, and the ridiculous Senate rules, America is condemned to continued ineffectual government. And if R/R wins, anyone not in the wealthy class is likewise screwed.

Wait, so what's Obama's economic plan again?
8/28/2012 7:03 PM
Increase taxes on the wealthiest and put more money in the hands of the people who spend.  Basic economics.

Trickle down economics = the only thing that trickles down on the poor and middle class is the riches **** and ****.

Basic socialism I think you meant.  How is increasing taxes going to create more jobs exactly?

4 years?  Really?  He could do whatever he wanted to do the first two, and he did.  Very convenient that you forget that.

And I suppose it's the Repubs' fault he can't even get one vote for his budget.

If you think so.  But that likely means that you don't really understand economics.

You keep misspelling socialism.  Please don't forget about the part demonstrating how raising taxes creates more jobs somehow.
