Davenport had a lower OPS and played 1B.  Wood had a lower OPS(despite 55 homers) and played 3B.  78 of Javier's 199 hits were XBH.  And he still stole 67 bases.

I don't think Lee has the ego for a debacle like that.   And, even if he does, I think he's smart enough to stay away from that due to the negative attention.   Cam Newton might do it with his decision to turn pro.    He seems egotistical enough to do it.  His dad will collect the money.   As for Lee, I think the Yanks have offered the most money and will increase their offer if necessary.  However, if Lee says "How much is enough?" and another team offers him that much, he may choose them.  Maddux shunned the Yankees long ago for less money, Lee could do the same thing.

Because everyone knows  the Yankees will offer the most money.   I believe part of the "significant" offer is a lifetime membership to Jenny Craig for Lee's chubby wife.

The later worlds have been running late for about a week.   Coop seems to run "on-time" at 11:30 but Hamilton/Steinbrenner have been running after noon when they used to run around 11:45 or so.

I don't know.  I was probably in my mid 20's before I got drunk enough to bang a large.  But, once you do one, there's no reason not to go back to the well.   After all, you can't say "I've never done a chub.  Except for that one" and be taken seriously.  I just changed my guidelines.

I'm almost certain deano, who has to be mid 20s, hasn't hit a chub.   But he's saving himself for Mr. Right.   However, for most normal people, yes, they are either lying or lacking enough experience to count.
