I miss the pre-season conference primer...
RPI won the north last season with Skidmore should regain the title this year. RPI is very unbalanced and very young but could eke out its strongest RPI this season and return to post season play. Stay tuned...

Loss of Mann hurt as he could play the 3-5 spots legitimately, but the team should be fine. Team & class balance are fine, so the priority was to recruit a successor to Hogan. I think I found that in Brandt, who has nice speed, some rebounding ability (something Brandeis needs), and can shoot FTs. Need to work on ball handling, but since he will be redshirted he should be more than ready to contribute next season when Hogan departs.
Rounding out the class is Frith, who given the relative youth of the frontcourt will not be expected to contribute for around 2-3 seasons at which time he should be a team asset. Again, he brings rebounding skills but needs to develop other areas of his game. Overall, very satisfied with the class and--more importantly--it met my needs. Next season the plan will be to recruit a SF to redshirt...
For the upcoming season, the schedule is tough again; heck, even just the conference games in Upstate make an otherwise pedestrian OOC schedule shape up pretty good. I fully expect the team to make the WCAA as an at-large team after a 2 year absence and I also expect the team to threaten for the conference title (the presence of Chicago truly makes it appear to be merely a threat in pre-season), but to settle for the #2 seed in the CT. I'm prediciting a 7-3 OOC record, an 11-5 conference record, and 3-2 post-season record, for a season record of 21-10 overall record.
Now let's see if I can meet or exceed that expectation!
OOC Update: Well, went 5-5 out of conference, a bit dissapointing. I figured there was a great chance of losing at Gustavus Adolphus, where I got a nice win. I had hoped for a split with GA & SUNY-Maritime (which I got); However, was not planning on a home loss to Middlebury (1 point) or a road loss at Colorado (4 points). That is how it goes sometimes, win some you shouldn't, lose some you think you shouldn't...

WCAA still looks very attainable, even with my current RPI/SOS of 107/82, since conference play will improve my numbers...assuming I can win my share. But, I do have less margin for error than anticipated.

Rebounding situation looks better, and my Jr SF is starting to really come on this season. Need to work conditioning for my bigs I can see.

4 game losing streak... absolutely ridiculous... the team forgot how to score and then when they learned how to score they forgot how to shoot free throws

  • At large WCAA berth - "lock", so accomplished goal
  • Threaten for conference title - Won division, exceeded goal
  • #2 seed CT - #1 seed, exceeded goal
  • 7-3 OOC - had a 5-5 OOC record, missed goal
  • 11-5 Conference record - had a 13-3 Conference record, so exceeded goal.
19-9 at present, final goal was 21-10, so would need Sweet 16 or better to meet (or exceed). Team is capable, but we'll have to see...1 open scholly next season, so should have plenty of recruiting budget to get a quality player from virtually anywhere.

Hey, guys... Sorry I bowed out so silently. Marriage plans, marriage, moving, and a more demanding job have put me through the ringer. I'd like to get back in a while. Hopefully the next coach does better than I did with Case. I felt like my guys underachieved this year, and I didn't help the case out much.

ram_tough1 hired as the new Hamilton coach for season 24 in the all so tough Upstate CAC. Previous coach mdukes13 has me with some very good ball players and that will be needed to be competative in the Upstate CAC as it is filled with some great teams and coaches. Hamilton will be led by their three seniors:
(Kelly Heideman-C|Senior|6'8"|215 lbs.)
(David Williams-PF|Senior|6'7"|204 lbs.)
(Christopher Southerland-PG|Senior|6'0"|192 lbs.)
These 3 play their positions well. Heideman brings an incredible inside game to the table with rebounding abilities of 89 and LP play of 86 and to top that off is a workhorse as he is one of the most fit players on the team that can probably play the entire game without getting tired. Followed by Heideman is PF David Williams who can just flat out shoot the ball. He is a threat both inside and outside and along with Heideman can clean the boards. Christopher Southernland the PG has amazing ball skills and will make alot of defenders look silly. The only weakness he has is he can't shoot worth a lick but when you have Heideman, Williams and a Jr. SG in (Rodney Hurt
SG|Junior|6'0"|171 lbs.) who his teammates call "Rodney Hurt ya from Downtown" you don't need to be able to shoot you just need to make spectacular passes and make defenders look silly with your amazing dribbling skills.
Hamilton finished season 23 with a record of 11-16 under coach mdukes13; however coach ram_tough1 believes the recruits coach mdukes13 behind will be able to put it together this season and finish with a .500 plus season. Check back later for the updates on Hamilton!

I've been reading the Freedom conference coaches' corner and this guy is something else. Too bad the good coaches in that conference has to put up with him.

I totally agree! No place for that! Only takes one person to ruin it for everyone else...Even if it were his own recruits on that team their is no room for it but he is doing it knowing he had absolutely nothing to do with that teams success...

Well hopefully I can storm into Lycoming this season & next and defend your honor sigsoho.

Didn't realize I was playing this game with a bunch of girls... guess that explains why its so easy to win.

And where are these good coaches in this conference? All i see is a bunch of losers.

DON'T JUDGE ME!!!
