It's Taint's fault he doesn't get to set lineups or rotation...  He hasn't yet opened the sitemail I sent him on Tuesday.  I've been on multiple times a day every day.  The theoretical #1 starter for the '98 Yankees is Pettitte and he's the 4th or 5th most talented starter.  I don't really care about the lineup but I don't want Pettitte starting.  It would have been Wells, El Duque, Cone if I would have been able to play the series...

Haven't decided. If people want to watch I can do it on live. If not sim matchup. Sorry dahs if it sims it will be go exactly how sim lineups are set, bc I wouldn't be able to reach taint in time to give him same option. If people want it simmed on live, it prob won't be till later tonight bc going out to eat.

For future challenges, I'd like to see a substitute allowed to play the games or let the owner who is active set the lineup and rotation at least. If I had a team with Loretta, Cedeno, Gamble, Milacki, etc. cookies, my opponent could keep them out of the game by ducking the series. Not suggesting that Taint is doing that here, but it opens the door for someone to refuse to play the games to gain an advantage. The fact that you couldn't reach Taint in time should be his (and his tribe's) problem. One of the goals in researching teams is usually to find teams that are made a lot better than they are on paper by using low-PA/IP players as starters.

Okay guys, thanks for letting me hear your voices on the matter. I understand what you are saying dahs, but I was stuck between a rock and a hard place on being fair to both tribes. For the future though, you can either have me set the lineups for the missing player, and then let simmy run it, or someone from the tribe can play and be docked 1 run. The tribe can make a decision as to that (the tribe that doesnt have the missing person). The games have simmed for this round and the results below.

LOL. One of the best rants, er posts yet.

I definitely for lucky in a couple ways...i had to win game one with sheets and I needed a five run rally y to win it...then with cc, in game two...it was expected to win, sure.

But mostly I got lucky that I got something I could work with by random choice.

No I do not think its that important because I sent  2 of the 3 teams that I got before the deadline, the other players never sent me the teams they wanted

tomjames-How much research goes in for you to pick teams, since it seems like you do that a lot in HBD? Does it transfer at all for you?


I've done a good amount of research on the team's I've picked so far but I haven't gotten the winning results that my team needs. You can do all the research and believe you have the perfect team but if you team can't get that one hit with runners in scoring position or your closer gives up a homerun to tie the game, then your not going to win.

The Taint- You missed the challenge and lost the deciding game for you team, is there anything you want to say?


It's been one of those weeks...not much to say.

Same thing happened to me in week 1.  I was on a bit, but not much.

ackeytack- You have handled yourself as one of the most reliable, and proven to be a winner so far by sweeping your opponent. How valuable is that to a team in this survivor?

Honestly, sometimes it is better to stay in the middle of the pack. I hope more than anything i have proven i am a good teammate and the kind of person that is good to have on a team.
