Okay, that clone team is out. I told him he can have a Gonzaga/Washington team if he wants, or a Gonzaga/Seattle team if he wants, but NO CLONES.
8/8/2022 11:18 AM
Okay, HDS1 says that Kentucky will be in today.
8/8/2022 12:01 PM
Kentucky is in. The only player not from the current century is Bowie. They look like a powerhouse team.
8/8/2022 1:52 PM
I am giving it to 6 PM for any late joiners, then I will put the league teams in to get to 24.
8/8/2022 1:53 PM
Okay guys, the Gonzaga guy is not coming in, so I went ahead and aligned the league. We are ready to go, and I would guess the schedule will show up by tomorrow and we'll likely be playing by Wednesday or Thursday. Good luck!
8/8/2022 5:12 PM

So Ewing faces Russell. Alcindor's UCLA team faces their old nemesis, Houston, with Elvin Hayes. Oscar goes up against the Buckeyes who I am sure wanted him to go there. Jordan against Barkley, and the Duncan/Gilmore team faces Duke. Let's see Durant and company do against The Big Dipper.

LSU has been awful so far. I guess I was wrong, I should've let Copernicus have Malone to make them at least decent. Oh well, live and learn. Sorry Nick, my bad.

Season 2 of this league will be more interesting as none of the teams or players from season 1 will be eligible to be in season 2. So the teams will not be nearly as good and we'll all have to field teams with lesser rosters than the first season, although there could be some surprise good teams that nobody came up with in the ongoing first season.

We've played 62 games so far in season 1, so there's 10 days left in the regular season. I would say that all season 2 teams will be combos of 2 colleges either from the same state, or from the same general area, but I'm not going to okay combos from 2 different states that will become a huge powerhouse dominant team that's much better than any other team.

I have my 2 teams picked out already, but some of you guys may want to start thinking about this and do some research.

These are the schools that will not be available for season 2.

Alabama
Auburn
California
Central Michigan
Cincinnati
Clemson
DePaul
Duke
Gardner-Webb
Georgetown
Hartford
Houston
Indiana
Kansas
Kentucky
Louisville
LSU
Marquette
Maryland
Memphis
Michigan State
Navy
NC State
North Carolina
Ohio State
Oklahoma
Oklahoma State
San Diego State
San Francisco
Tennessee
Texas
Texas A&M
UCLA
UCONN
USC
Wake Forest

Some notable teams that ARE available:

Akron
Bradley
BYU
Creighton
Dayton
Holy Cross
Illinois
Iowa
Kansas State
Michigan
Missouri
Missouri State
Murray State
Notre Dame
Old Dominion
Oregon
Oregon State
Penn
Purdue
Seton Hall
Temple
UNLV
Utah
VCU
Virginia
Villanova
Western Kentucky
West Virginia

I'll probably start the thread for the 2nd season after the first round of the playoffs are done for the first season, which will be in like 2 weeks from now. I may as well let you know the teams I am taking so that you don't waste your time researching them, I've got Florida / Florida State and Arizona / Arizona State. Hopefully they will be good teams, but I'm sure there will be better teams that Ben or somebody will find.

The Arizona / AZ ST team gives me Harden, Byron Scott, Lister, Ayton, Jason Terry, Lever, Mike Bibby & Iguodala

The Florida / FL ST team gives me Cowens, Cassell, Beal, David Lee, Noah, Haslem and Charlie Ward
