alright, Thompson seemed to put the fire out on the punting situation. Now if he could only get the pass rushing fire that's been burning since last January under control that will be great.

I still like our secondary, it's the 7 guys in front of them that are wretched.

I think Bob Sanders will have to fall on the sword and be removed at the end of the season.

Seriously though, it points out that it isn't the offense and it isn't the special teams...

All they needed was ONE stop. It's not like Kris Brown had to hit a 55-yarder. The defense had the Texans on their own ONE-yard line, and gave up a 75-yard drive...

Rodgers = more yards, more TDs, fewer picks, higher passing rating than Favre.

The Pack has sucked this year, but they made the right call at QB.

If they are pro Favre they point to 5 losses by a combined 14 points and say Brett coulda won them. If the offense gets the ball back with under 5 minutes to play and needs the winning score or to ice the game they have been picked or 3 and out.

The anti Favre crowd points out the Packer offense is top 11 in most categories and the defense has been lowsy. If the other team gets the ball with under 5 minutes and needs to score to win the game they have marched down the field and scored at will.

Bottom line is it's just a bad football team. Favre might have got them a few more meaningless wins but I don't think he could have overcome the lack of talent.

Favre was busy crapping the bed trying to bring the Jets back with a final drive today until his D bailed him out with a fumble return TD.

The Pack is likely to score roughly the same amount of points they scored last year, but with 2 games , they've already given up about 40 points more than they did all of last year.

As bad as the defense has been, and I would put the blame right on their shoulders, the offense could have still pulled the game out. Rodgers could have led the team to victory... but... just like against Carolina... crapped the bed.
