Typical talking out your *** with no factual basis to back up your statements.  At least you weren't dumb enough to take the bet, though I doubt you would pay up if you did.

Hey Doug,

Can you get Cigar City beer out that way?  Not sure where you live at, but they are based out of Tampa.

Lived in Sarasota for 23 years. Drank Bud back then. Smoked it too.

Now I drink Yuengling and Coors Extra Gold.

Increase taxes on the wealthiest and put more money in the hands of the people who spend.  Basic economics.
Funniest entry in quite a while.
If you think so.  But that likely means that you don't really understand economics.
You keep misspelling socialism.  Please don't forget about the part demonstrating how raising taxes creates more jobs somehow.
Prove to me that cutting taxes creates jobs...I will show you more examples of tax cuts being ineffectual than you will of tax cuts creating jobs.  Care to wager a 100 dollar gift card on it?
Businesses want to expand as long as they can afford to do so - but let's finish hearing about Obama's redistribution of wealth prosperity plan first.
It's pretty clear that you're just a mouthpiece and don't actually understand this stuff.  I'm still trying to figure out why you keep talking about "goodie bags" and making stupid comments like "50% of Americans don't pay taxes".  So one dimensional in your thought.

To answer your question.....you redistribute enough to get the economy moving.  Can't answer your question about "goodie bags" because, well, I don't consider tax cuts to be goodie bags.  Now let me ask you a few questions:

What evidence do you have that a small business owner would hire more employees just because he has to pay less income tax on his profits?

What do you think would happen to this country if there was no redistribution of wealth at all?

How do you think the wealthy are able to convince middle class, middle-aged white males that they should pay more taxes than the wealthy?

Bush also used his superpowers to deflect the hurricane away from Tampa.    it's as if he's still president!!!  And he will be your whole life - you should blame him forever...      Oh yea, you already will.

Don't get so caught up in ad hominem's that you miss the point.  47% of American's don't pay income tax.  So offering tax cuts to the poor is meaningless.

You are not answering the question - and I don't necessarily blame you because Obama can't either.  How much do you plan to take from the wealthy, and who is going to get their money?  When you do the redistribution math you will see that this is not an equation that results in any sustainable job growth - and in fact will reduce GDP and productivity on net.  Profit is a powerful incentive to grow - penalizing success is not going to pull America out of its recession.  Businesses want to get bigger, take market share, go into new markets - this activity requires more human capital.  Basic economics.

Isn't that data three years old? Come on, surely you can put a little more effort in your google searches and give some relevant to today information. At least you didn't go Swamp on us and post information from ask.com, passing it off like its fact.

Corporations will not be happy until they're paying zero taxes, then they'll ask for subsidies to hire people.

Stop with the rhetoric and answer the questions. You sound like someone who has never run a business and has no concept of economics. I would love to see your attempt at redistribution math.

What makes you think that an extra 5-10% of tax on their profits would cause a company to give up on growing? How does that make any sense to you? Did you know that many companies actually take advantage of higher taxes by reinvesting in their business to reduce tax liability?

And for the record, I'm not an Obama fan. I just think his lack of understanding of the economy is less dangerous than the wealthy's attempt to widen the income gap.

I was pretty sure you weren't going to offer data behind Obama's redistribution plan that made sense.  Don't ask me to do it either - it doesn't work.

We are in a recession.  We need to create incentives to grow.  This isn't a game of see how much you can take from job creators before they "give up growing."  It is how do we incentivize investment to get the economy out of the crapper.

1 The debt is mostly the cause of 50 years of Democratic control of the house, where all spending is started.

2 It must have slipped your mind that Obama racked up more debt in 3 years than Bush did in 8.
