This week: @BUF, NYI, DET
December: @TB, @FLA, TB, @WAS, @ATL, ATL, TOR, CAR, @STL, @NJ, @CAR, @ATL, @PIT

That's 16 games between now and New Year's. I see no reason why they can't get 20 points at the absolute minimum from that stretch. Why 20? Well, 10 games are against teams that right now would be out of the playoffs. So 20 points should be the least they get from this stretch.

With 1 game , the Bruins have earned 26 out of a possible 30 points in the aforementioned stretch.

If 11-1-0 with 1 game is a swoon....I'll take it.

I still can't believe what I am seeing.

I can believe it. They were starting to come around in the playoffs last year. Boy right now as we speak they could have at least 5 players in the ALL_STAR game. Savard,Kessel,Krejci,Wideman and Manny Fernandaz. If I have forgot someone or you feel they should be in to feel free to add comment. Going to see that the Bruins will make playoffs and actually be in still in round 2 maybe 3. Might even surprise us and be STANLEY CUP BOUND

Manny is more lucky than good. He commits to a play way too early and leaves fat rebounds.

I think Thomas should be in the all star game over Fernandez.

I also think it was a pretty predictible that the Bruins would be on fire this year and be at the top of the standings. Last year, if they had split the season series with the Habs, they would have finished first in the division instead of Montreal. They dominated the rest of the the teams (they had a 41-22-11 record when you take out the Habs games). This year is more of an extension of that.

Let's not get too far ahead of ourselves here. It's not even the All-Star break. They won the division in 2003-04, finished 2nd in the East, 2 pts behind Tampa....and got bounced in the 1st round. Yes, they are on an incredible run, but the playoffs are still 4 months away. Before we start talking about the Cup, I want to see them win a playoff series first, something they've done ONCE since 1995.

As for the All-Stars, Manny Fernandez? Please. Thomas should be there, and I'm not the biggest Tim Thomas fan in the world. The other guys? Sure, they could all be there, but there's a lot of good players out there. Savard and Kessel absolutely should be there. Krejci may end up at the Youngstars game, ditto for Wheeler.

I don't like Thomas either, but I agree too.

Another interesting stat: Ryder has 14 goals, seven of them are game winners.

Thomas looked very shaky Saturday afterrnoon. He was stumbling around the crease on more than one occasion. The whole team looked a little off, but one loss in 11 isn't too bad of a winning percentage. Overall, being able to roll four effective lines is probably the biggest key to the B's success. Makes planning a defence against the team a daunting task.

So, do the B's make a trade? Who do they trade? What do they need?

Bergeron? Fernandez or Thomas? (they likely won't be able to keep both as they are pending FA)

Off to Bruins/Habs tonight. Should be a lot of fun.

Why the hell is Versus not included in the NHL Center Ice package on Dish?

Well SAKA, you sure saw a beauty. Great intensity (by both sides) early on, a hell of a 2nd period, and happily a solid finish by the forecheckers/trap and then Thomas when the Habs did sneak in for scoring chances.

Krejci="clutch." Period. Just an amazing hot streak.
And Chara with 2 goals, 5 shots, 4 hits, a couple blocked shots in 31:48 of ice time. Unreal game.

Missing Sturm officially for the season.
Lucic missing. Ward takes the shot off the leg, then gets boarded, doesn't return. Ference had a setback. Fernandez out.

And now, Kessel out for 3-4 weeks with MONO?!? Yikes.

Still a great home win vs a very hot team 3-1.

Rest of the month is vs. some teams they should handle despite all the injuries. We'll see how they react to continuing to use half of Providence to fill up the roster.

@NYI, @WAS, STL, @TOR, ASBreak (5 days), WAS, NJD, NYR

Just finish the month strong and that's 50 games in and a double digit lead in the division + conference. Can't wait for the Wash games now they stood up to the Habs even with all the kids out there.
