Right. With all of the hundreds of millions of dollars (at the time) out there to be made, only one group tried to challenge them and failed miserably, despite the NFL going through multiple strikes. The NFL was so vulnerable that nobody else was interested in all of that money. I mean, they were a sitting duck in the 80s but the rest of corporate, private investment, just the anonymous really rich dude America, decided collectively "Nah! Who wants hundreds of millions of dollars that are just begging to be taken?" And, thus, the NFL somehow survived. That's how we do it here in the USA. Of course, you being a capitalist, you inherently know that this is how private industry operates in a free enterprise system when the industry leader is vulnerable and hundreds of millions of dollars are there to be competed for.
