Just realized that his '89 Lonnie Smith pick is ineligible (1980-88). I site-mailed 3day. The draft can continue and 3day can make a replacement pick at any time.

this is a very real reason to not use proxy picks. had I not left one and waited till now to make my pick I would likely have been able to make the fix before few (or possibly no) picks were made. in the future I will have to keep this in mind before leaving choices.

It’s not the proxy in this case - you posted a player outside the date range. Had your proxy been an eligible payer that just became unavailable, we would have waited for you to return and make a pick.

You are right. I should have deleted the post once I realized the proxy had an illegal player. Of course, there would've been nearly 2 1/2 hours with no picks during that time, I apologize to 3day if he missed out on a player he wanted (although I am not seeing any full-time OFs taken since then).

I amended my post. I didn’t realize he selected a player outside the date range. That typically results in the draft continuing.
