Rough Draft of the HCAC vs CAC Challenge.
For starters I'd say in future seasons we set aside week 1 for the challenge (or is week 10 a better idea?).

This year however most of us have already started scheduling so we'll just assign matchups and each pairing can take it upon themselves to take care of scheduling.

To keep things standardized I suppose we should wait until the end of nonconference play (where we are today) and then rank teams by RPI and match the teams up.
I'm not sure how to deal with sim ai's and ocasionally there may be someone who is trying hard to make a tough schedule so this of course is optional. Also feel free to challenge other HCAC or CAC teams in your other empty slots.

Coach of Baptist Bible,
I've already made my schedule for next year, how about the 2nd exhibition game?

Question:
I am looking at getting back into Naismith. I had Tx Lutheran a few seasons ago but had to drop it.

It looks like Hood and Marymount may be open next season? Anyothers?

Can anyone give me a read on either of these programs?

Any other recommendations for conferences/teams?

Thanks for the help.

Hood is in its first year with Sim- has no seniors this year and two walkons. It looks to me Hood can make a run at an NIT bid in two years (no lock though). It has a core of sophomores who are pretty solid.
Marymount is more a project-- bring dynamite if you're interested. It's had 2 of 4 years with sim and a 3rd year with a tough recruiting class. There's a couple seniors this year and I'm not sure about walk-ons b/c there are so many low rated players.
We're definitely interested in adding coaches!

Let me ammend a little bit- Hood has one senior and 2 walkons-- 3 "decent" sophomores who more likely have a shot at the PIT than the NIT.
Marymount has two seniors and no walk-ons.

Unfortunately, Anderson is already scheduled for the only 2 games I still have open.

CAC Season 21 Midview:
All conference 1st team:
PG Larry Davidson (CUA)
SG Frank Coffey (CUA) (Demars, Hood, is the 2nd best G in the conference)
SF David Yearby (York) (Chris Lewis, SMM, might sneak in here)
PF Chris Summers (Marymount)
C Mike Wilson (SMM)
POY: Summers (I have no idea how the engine weights the different stats; it could come down to Summers 17/12 vs Coffey's 17/5/4)
COY: andrewfrance
ROY: Before the season I would have said Parker (CUA) in a walk, but he's underperformed and had his minutes limited. He's still probably the favorite, but Davis (CH) could catch him.
In: Catholic, VJ, Gallaudet
PIT: Salisbury, York
This would be Gallaudet's first postseason appearance ever. Hats off to JPHill.

York isn't conceding the NT yet. This bulletin board material will be useful. Nice work, Andrew, but I'll be pulling the Wolfpack tomorrow...

I put in my reservation for Hood for next season. Hope to join you guys.

Sweet, Joe. The more humans, the merrier. Let us know if there is anything we can do to help.
Go Heels!

Hello, my suggestion was to have the head to head matchups on the 2nd exhibition game next year. Giving each team one game to see their team with their recruits and get somewhat a feel of their team. Then we could possibly schedule the last non-conf. the following year if everyone is happy with how it goes. Sound reasonable enough? I believe we are the only conf.s with the majority of human coaches. Haven't checked for awhile. Good luck to all and fantastic job andrewfrance. Go HCAC!!!!!!

That sounds good barecat- I was actually already scheduled with my team prior... so I think some teams are just trying to schedule for whenever for the first year.... with the default date the 2nd exhibition game.

Too many big stories not to post something.
1. The CAC gets 4 in the big dance.
2. Down goes CUA!! VJ knocked out my Catholic Cardinals in the semis of the conference tourney (in OT), ending their 63 game conference win streak.
3. York wins the conference title. Roguedog's 1st CT championship.
4. Gallaudet gets in... how long will the slipper fit? JPHill leads GU to its first ever postseason appearance, sneaking into the NT as a 15 seed.
5. POY Controversy. Warren Conner wins despite lower counting stats. No comment from CUA officials that the online balloting was at all rigged.
