Actually, I'm mocking all the retards who are ready to either crown a Champion or dismiss ANY team in early December. Also, if you all remember, none of said that the Hawks would repeat...I even recall saying that even though it was possible, I thought it was unlikely, so it won't be a total shock.

That being said, if Pat Kane is hurt long-term, it wouldn't matter if we had 6 Byfugliens and 3 Ladds...you don't replace a guy like that without losing something.

For the record, neither Eager nor Burish were EVER considered character guys.  They both were at the top of the list of guys I wanted gone.  Ladd was the one guy I really wanted to keep from the group that left.  Buff was gone after this year, so we did well to get a 1st for him.

juskay, you are entitled to your predictions and opinions, but cmon...you're smart enough to know that 25-30 games into the season, nothing is decided. Now I'm not saying the Hawks are playing like a top team right now because they aren't, but anyone who tells me that any team, let alone the Hawks, have already clinched a playoff berth or are eliminated from contention in early December is either trying to instigate people or is just plain dumb.

lol holer you never know. Who says that Kipper doesn't get hot and Iggy scores at a 2 point a game pace for 10 games in a row? They'd be right back in it. They definitely wouldn't be the first team to do it.

As for the Hawks, it was announced that Kane will be out up to 3 weeks. This will really test guys like Stalberg, Brouwer and Skille who will see increased roles, especially on the PP, without Kane and Hossa. I wouldn't be surprised to see Brandon Pirri get a look as well in Kane's spot. Time to find out what exactly we've got past our top 6 forwards.

Jesus....3 weeks (at least) without Kane.  This is not what we needed, especially with Hossa still out.  I'm not a happy camper today.
