GENERAL RULES
(in addition to those outlined in the league description)
- Unless otherwise stated, only pitchers with half or more of their appearances in relief may be used in relief in Survivor games.
- If a player fails to get a game in by the deadline, his opponent will play against Sparky to get the game in. Any member of the other tribe or I can start the game, then exit to let Sparky manage it. The player missing the deadline (and his tribe) can get no benefit from any results obtained by Sparky.
- Most deadlines for playing/picking/voting will be midnight. That will refer to Eastern Time, and means the night of the day given. In other words, Thursday midnight means 12:00 a.m. Friday morning, strictly speaking.
- If a rule or challenge description is unclear. The spirit of the game is to clarify things, not find loopholes to take advantage of.
- I assure one and all that I will run this as objectively and fairly as I can. Do not worry that past knives in the back (hello staindman and acketyack) will be avenged here. I will wait until Survivor IV for that pleasure.
- When schedules/matchups are posted, each contestant must verify that they are correct. Any mistakes must be fixed before games are played using the team(s) in question.
- Anyone receiving a clue to a Hidden Immunity Idol will be allowed to ask me 1 yes-or-no question before the deadline for playing games, Thursday night. Each then gets one guess as to the idol, and may continue to make one guess per week until it is found. Idols can only be found once; after that, even a correct guess will do no good.
Apparently there has been some confusion about who can be used in relief. As noted in the first rule above (from page 1 of the thread), unless otherwise specified only pitchers who made half or more of their real-life appearances out of the pen can be used in relief in challenges.
