Fair/Foul is a judgement call.

And judgement calls can not be overturned.

Unless the judgement call is a home run fair/foul.

Then it can be.

So yes... this clear swamp of rules clearly seems to indicate... not much, really, that would lead anyone to believe that the commish's office can't do what it likes, if it feels like it needs to.

Thats not what I did at all. I just pointed out how the fat hypocrite has consistantly told people how stupid they are for carrying on pointless arguments for 18 pages, for "mother jokes," for stupid corney pictures .........you know, for exactly what he is doing now.

I guess when he does it it noble, not stupid.

You might be surprised to learn that Bud did say that they (MLB) will look into the possibility of expanding the use of replay.

So what you're saying is nothing that we didn't already know.

It's not as cut and dried as you're making it out to be.

As has already been mentioned, even with replay, some could still argue that Galarraga was bobbling the ball and didn't get him. Who determines conclusiveness? You?

Determining which side of the line a foul ball is on is pretty concrete. Bang-bang plays at bases are not.

To recap the valuable truths that bosux has contributed to this thread:

1) Jim Joyce's blown call was "disasterous" to MLB
2) Individual achievements are far more important to the foundation of MLB than wins and losses, and should be treated as such
3) bosux does not understand the difference between an umpire's judgement call and an umpire's rule interpretation
4) bosux cannot understand the difference between a safe/out call at first and a home run
5) If you don't agree completely with bosux, you're one of "them"

My point was, if you READ (you know, since you're on everyone else about reading), that you can show replays of a play at first and have people split on the call, even while viewing the same replay.

You'll be very hard pressed to find someone who disagrees with the side of the line a ball lands on.
