Wow dude...ur still in HIGH SCHOOL??? You know your baseball! Color me impressed. When I was your age, I played Strat-o-matic for 3-4 hours a day and that was the only way to get a baseball fix. Now, you got WIS and probably never even heard of Strat-o-matic of ABPA lol.
Kinda funny actually....when I was in high school, I organized a Strat o matic league with about 7 other friends. We had a draft, and compilied a team. Then, all summer we played a schedule. Used to have to bring our Strat o matic cards (team) in our back pockets and bike to our opponents house to play a 3 or 6 game series (whoever was the road team had to travel lol). T'was kinda a precursor to THIS lol.
Yeah, I actually became a WIS member when I was 12 when my uncle Achillesred introduced me to the site. I became a little discouraged when I had like a .367 win %. I came back to the site just over a year ago and improved my win % from .367 to .487 so watch out, there's a new superpower on the site!
But I'm a huge star junkie. What I do when I'm bored is go onto baseball-reference and just look up random things. It'll start with 2004 Cardinals, then I see John Mabry. "Woah, John Mabry! I remember him being my backup 1B/RF on MVP baseball 03 on my PlayStation 1 (crazy that there have been 3 consoles since. I'm a senior now so I'm reflecting on all my old friends and cartoons and such) but I'll click on John Mabry to see how "good" he was. He played on the Mariners? "Wow! He was on the same team with Ken Griffey, A-Rod, Edgar Martinez on the 99 Mariners!" "Wait, Damaso Marte was on that team?" So I'll click on him. And he played on the World Series winning 2004 White Sox so I'll click on them and it goes like that until lunch is over or I get a headache from my computer screen. It's not like I'm some loner at lunch, I have 3 friends who are addicted to baseball like I am that I've been friends with forever and while they aren't star nerds like me, we have debates about our favorite players and who's gonna win the WS and prospects and such. So while we don't have our strat-o-matic leagues, we do have our top 10s and during baseball season we have our own Fantasy Baseball league. Sorry, like I said, I'm reflecting on things now.
