Dang it! Reddtrain is ahead of me by $12k. Will he take the guy I'm targeting? I think the odds are 50/50
I think you're way overestimating those odds. I've currently got three guys in mind for my next pick, and you can't draft two of those three players.
I was just quoting Frank Zappa
Didn't recognize that quote...but I did see you jumped ahead of me, so I'm sure you'll snipe whatever player/position I wind up looking at :D

FYI - Starting tomorrow, I am switching to 20-minute time slots, but starting at 10 am Eastern and ending at 10 pm (36 picks per day). As long as we are drafting ahead of schedule, it really won't matter. It's a little cleaner (exactly 1.5 rounds per day plus not as early for west coasters or as late for easterners).

Nice to find this kind of arm in the last pitching group, as I have had lots of success with him

I am due up in 5 picks and have absolutely no idea who to take next.
Don't take the guy at the top of my list, please.

I misquoted it. It is actually, "I figure the odds be fifty fifty"

I have a couple of picks in mind, but I can't decide until I see where vilefileman goes. . . . . his pick could literally determine my pick.

I now know why I love these drafts. It's a similar feeling to being a kid on Christmas morning. Each round is like opening a different present. Then after you open one, you can't wait to get to the next one, except have to wait until each person in the family opens a present, before you get to open your next present. The waiting is excruciating.

I wonder what my next present will be.

Inevitably every potential choice here leads me to a regret later, but I'm more concerned about missing out on anyone tolerable at this spot than any other right now:
1939 Ted Lyons White Sox P3 6,422,560

By the way, my Chris Young pick last round was like opening a pair of socks (I needed them, but wasn't all that excited about it).

So here's the delimma. There are 17 people that still need a 3B. But there are plenty of 3B that I like and that I can live with, so I should wait another round or two, right? But, just about anybody else I pick (from a different position) will also reduce the 3B options. So if there does happen to be a run on 3B run, those half dozen 3B I like may disappear quickly.

So, when looking at it from a different angle, there is one 3B I can take, who I do like, who I have ranked pretty highly, that is also on a franchise where I don't really like the other options left. So I guess it's time.

1954 Eddie Mathews, Braves 3B 6,306,721

Fun fact: Of the 30 thirdbasemen nominated, 24 bat right-handed. I am glad I got one of the lefties. Mathews is also the reason I didn't draft Brett 4 rounds earlier.
