The leagues odd long time high shooting exception is probably your LW Rob Sack, who kept hammering shots on goal for 4 full seasons. But as skill improvement came he had a cold last season, shooting wise. And he was hardly a star in attributes when he was a gunner, if I remember correctly?

U got it, rammers. My current FP is paired with a guy half his skills... I'm not gonna split 'em up because they've worked well together for a few seasons... but the "other guy" has become my highest-shooting defenseman. And he scores alright, which you would never suspect based on his "shooting" attribute.

Sack was nuts. I picked up this team right after he had his 325 shot / 2.9% shooting season. Based on his attributes and terrible performance I considered cutting him right away. High skating and really high stamina, no shooting and defense. He got those 325 shots playing with Tuurela and Blomm, two vets whose attributes were much higher. I saved Sack's sixth season up till I thought I had good linemates for him, but he totally lost his mojo.

Blomm dried up at the end. Lonny Smith. I see the same thing happening to Rockford now. Time ain't no friend of mine!

Lasse Berner's been the same way.....had that 30 goal season, and I was toying with the idea of making him my FP, but his next full season he had 9 goals and less than 1/2 the shots of his 30 goal season. It's so strange, all I really want is some consistency

That's a good observation which I think (or at least hope) we had warned you guys about before starting the all minor leaguer leagues. Originally, when the simulator was developed, minor leaguers were meant to just fill in for injured players -- not really do much for the team and also not really hurt the team. With the 2.0 update and the introduction of minor leaguers that improve in skill, their roles have evolved. However, one thing that remained the same was that they should never intentionally injure anyone and receive a suspension and they should avoid fighting. This was to cut back on them being liabilities. This is something we could look into with a future update, however I am getting the feeling that we may get the thumbs up for a hockey dynasty game that will be focused on fantasy players in the near future. Wow that's gotta be the quietest MLD trade deadline we've ever had....seems like either GM's are unwilling to deal at all, or tend to want something for nothing.

This is a pretty quiet season. Not that the membership is unhappy, on the contrary, I think most of us feel like we have a handle on the league, and most of us are kind of satisfied with where our teams are "at".

I'm a build-through-the-draft guy myself, kicked a few tires on the trading block but didn't see anything I needed to do. Only very rarely will I do a shake-things-up trade.

I always try to make some deal Dan (as you know) I always send you a few because I know at least you are willing to try new things. I understand Damag's and a lot of other GM...wanting to grow their homemade talent threw the draft..I like to do that as well, but I also like to try new players I think a GM who didn't do any deals in the NHL wouldn't last very long...Then again I have never even made it to the Finals so maybe I am an idiot? To each his own

To each his own I guess.....all I know is that I get more out of this league when I'm going back-and-forth with another GM on a potential trade, and it's interesting to go back and see who won a particular trade. Just my 2 cents

I'm considering taking the Crooks in a new direction next season....... although I recall saying that in the past........ and then retreating the our usual "crooked" ways about 10-20 games into the season. :)

Why you ask?? This season has easily been a disappointing one for Kingston..... way too many PP goals allowed..... although we're gonna finish way at the bottom of the pack, our GF is among the top 10 and our +/- stat oddly enough is close to a positive rating and actually better than some playoffbound teams..... which makes me wonder how different this season would have been had it not been for all them penalties and PP goals allowed.

Well Yr12's regular season just wrapped up.... Kingston finished dead last... oh joy! After cleaning up the various league messes to start the season, its ironic that my team can now also be called a "league's mess"!!

In finishing deadlast, it brought back memories of the gloomy season that was Yr5....where Kingston finished deadlast as well and it got me thinking, am/was I the 1st team to finish deadlast twice in our league's 12 year existence?? My results were just too shocking not to share...

My Crooks are actually the 4th team to finish last overall twice! Gotham(previous GM), Intercourse and Henderson all accomplished this dubious achievement before I did. Krazy when you do the math how in 12 seasons of play, these 4 teams accounted for 8 deadlast finishes!!! ugly!!

I suppose on a positive note, I get a 1st overall pick out of another pisspoor season and both Gotham and Henderson went on to win Presidents Trophies AND MLD Cups AFTER their pair of deadlast finishes..... perhaps the best is yet to come........

yes when the MLD hands me lemons(as it usually does)....I gotta make me some lemonade!! I hope one of these seasons you guys will let me win one!(even if it is out of pity lol)

OKP, I'm feeling your pain my friend. This is my third straight season missing out on the post-season. I do get the good furtune of netting the 3rd pick in the draft (I think so anyway) plus I score that Crosby bonus too!!!

I saw some good signs with my team this season. I only have a couple of retirees so I'm hoping to be able to take advantage of things next season. I kinda sound like a Cubs fan.......
