I don't know. Even if we lose two forwards and a Dman in a trade we'd still have no lack of scoring or grit up front. A (healthy of course) defensive core of Timonen, Coburn and Boyle would be about as strong as it gets. I'd put us up with Pitt and the Habs as frontrunners to make the finals out of the east, not sure I'd say that as things stand now. At some point we will have to shift more cap space to the back end, haven't looked to see who the FA's are after next year but the way things are going with overpayments we'll never get it done that way.
Eklund (yeah, I know) has reported that Boyle has been asked to waive his NTC and that he's looking into teams he would be willing to do that for.
