If I calculated correctly, Notre Dame Haters will finish last.  Could be a three-way tie if Arizona wins; Team Fappin, 2 Non Blondes, and The Favorites-(win the tie-breaker).  If Arizona loses, Navy Buddies win the challenge.

I have it calculated that The Favorites will win the challenge outright with no tiebreaker needed. The only loss they had was their 1- point loss, whereas 2NB and TF both missed their 3-point pick.

The Favorites missed their 3-point pick too, I'm not sure what you're looking at... Either way, Favorites still win on the TB.

WhatIfSports.com is a company based in Cincinnati, Ohio, U.S. that specializes in online sports simulations and fantasy-style games. It uses custom sports simulators to allow users to match teams from any era and generate a complete play-by-play of a game.

SimMatchup NCAA Football is where those age old debates get answered:  It is also the seventh pitstop for this  around the sports world.  

At this PITSTOP, each team will choose 4 historical teams from any school, from any year of their choosing

These teams will then be put in a best of 7 games,  32 historical  team tournament bracket.  Obviously, all the simming will be done by myself.  I will post results(with links to games) in the forum.    If you lose your series in the first round you go into the losing bracket.  The team to lose all of their games MAY be eliminated.   The team that wins the winning bracket, will get to UTURN another team.

This is where it gets interesting.  Teams may not select the same identical team.  Joe Blow can take 91 Ohio State and Fred can take 92 Ohio State.  That is fine.  However.......if Joe Blow selects 91 Ohio State and Fred selects 91 Ohio State.  Both Joe and Fred will receive sitemails that they must select new teams and 91 Ohio State would be thrown out all together.  You guys can sitemail each other if you choose, you may post in the forum who you want.    I don't really care what you do.  Arm wrestle for it if you have to.  But once you turn your teams into me, if another coach selects a team that has been selected.  Both coaches will receive a sitemail to choose another team.  Any questions?

I'm not going to post a deadline right now.  However, if I think things are coming to a crawl, then I will post a deadline 24 hours from that time.

Meeeee tooooo... although could be awhile to get everyones teams shored up if people keep picking the same teams. 

Arfy, if 2 teams pick the same team, i understand that BOTH teams must pick a substitute team for them, but is that team gone for EVERYONE, or just those 2 teams?

It will be gone for Everyone!!!  That's why I suggested you might want to check with other teams first.  It's up to you how you go about selecting your historical teams.

Teams won't be posted until they are final.  Just don't be surprised if you get a sitemail telling you to select a new team.  That's why there is going to have to be some give and take with negotiating.

Arfy, this has been a LOT of fun, and I really like this challenge, but if I could make a suggestion...

This is like the perfect challenge for doing a draft of the teams.  As it is, we're all going to overlap a lot of the teams.  I bet 75-100 teams will get thrown out by duplication.  If we did a draft (serpentine, draw for spots, team 1 picks a team, then team 2...all the way through 8 and then reverse order), we could have all the top teams in the tournament.

Again, I think this challenge is a great idea and will be awesome to see the results.  Just wanted to put my two cents in.

I agree.  in the real show the 1st place team always gets to leave early on the next leg of the race!   It would only be fair to have team 1 pick first to give them a small advantage!   I love this game but finishing first really doesnt help you in this game other than to UTURN someone and I personally think that makes you more of a target to be UTURNED when you dont win.    In the real game you see those 1st place teams never UTURNING anyone because they dont feel they NEED TO at that point of the race and it keeps them from making enemies.      I know we can't simulate all of that in this game but for each round i would think the 1st place team from the previous round should have some sort of advantage and we can provde that by allowing them to pick their team first for this challenge!   

So basically i vote for a draft as well!   It would be fun to watch and see who each team picks.
