"Suicide is painless". Whether you felt prompted to say it or not doesn't mean that you were in the right for saying it. The person on these forums who lost a friend recently to suicide sure felt plenty of pain.

suicide is painless is the name of a song. I don't think dino was commenting on anything other than the song.

thanks wylie..my fellow music man.

That, would explain it. I'm not a mash fan. My parents used to watch it all the time, but i'm not sure I have ever seen a full episode. I enjoy plenty of shows from that era and before, but just could net get into that one. My favorite show from that era is "Welcome back Kotter."

i still do the barbarino routine with people unfamiliar with it...who..what...where....why.....how...
if that show was done today and was original with the same talented cast can you imagine how great it would be today .

It sucks that you can't find reruns of it anywhere.

i think the first season is available on dvd.
back in those days some tv shows were like vaudeville...they would beat the same jokes into the ground not keeping it fresh.

Spanky finds an old coin, so he takes it to a pawn shop.

Spanky: "I want a million dollars for this!"
Pawn Shop Owner: "This is worthless."
Spanky: "I want a million dollars or I burn down your shop!"
Pawn Shop Owner: "OK, I'll give you a dollar. That's about all I could get for it."
Spanky: "VICTORY!"
